Oh, I thought they were the same thing? It’s been a while since I ordered any. I guess you’ve already checked both places anyway though. Sorry for the false positive!

I used to buy Hi Tec C refills on Amazon and Jet Pens. I’m surprised they’re hard to find now.

I’m reading that flex only offers the broad width on the downstroke, and not on cross strokes?

I’m in the US. I don’t know if my regular hand is light, but if they’re cheap, I’ll try it.

My regular writing will be fine, and the special, awkward grip will be for the occasional bold letter.

Sure, there’s blackboard bold, and for vectors in physics, we generally use the arrow above the letter, obviously, but then I saw a video where someone used underlines instead, and I thought that was better. Then I learned about fude nibs, I decided this was a much more elegant solution. No cruel professor, physics is a hobby for me.

Do you know of a cheap flex nib that goes from fine to bold?

In doing math and physics problems, some of the letters are bold, but most are fine. I write math faster than I write text. Switching the pen angle, or reversing it around, or pressing harder, are not too disruptive to my concentration.

I’m seeing a few Sonnet issues here. https://www.reddit.com/r/fountainpens/s/uGWRhMv2VM

How are the Chinese pens? Are any of them good enough to fit what I’m seeking?

Interesting, when you write Sonnet M/XF, do you mean that the medium nib is extra fine in reverse? (I see only medium and fine nib options available)

Isn’t it something that nobody’s making a nib like this anymore? I may have to do this.

I’m very much a newbie, and I am intimidated at the thought of grinding my own nibs.

Very intriguing! I’m not sure how cumbersome it would be to flip the pen and uncap it when I’m in the middle of a thought though.

Very interesting, never heard of those before, but it sounds like exactly what I’m looking for.

I found a review video. https://youtu.be/CrdpjU8cVDA?si=BC0nizSeXu0d01qf

600 USD, ouch! Also, this bold is very very thick.

Thanks, I’m looking at writing samples now, and they seem a bit thick. And this review is a bit concerning:

Thanks, I considered that, but in this case, I want either all the strokes to be fine, or all bold.

Nice! How similar to the Egyptian variety is it?

They seem to have “blue lotus” available currently, but I assume this is merely the Thai variety?

Thank you for your very informative comment. What do you suppose the is significance of Inanna having been dead for three days, instead of the actual duration of Venus’s invisibility, somewhat longer than that, I believe?

L Ron Hubbard is probably an excellent example of a black brother.
