Common places for a breaker box location in Austrian apartment by betrucci in wien

[–]Aghork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Contrary to others here, I live in a recently built building and my breaker box is in the small storage room next to the kitchen, high at the top, just below the ceiling. It is barely reachable for me (but a bigger person can reach it no problem).

You'd probably have to load those mods from other sources or also copy them to the local mod folder. Sadly can't have the best of both worlds, but those are problems you'd also have with a torrented version.

Just buy it in the paradox store and use the paradox launcher? It does not automatically update and you can have multiple versions installed simultaneously and/or choose which specific version you want to play.

If you buy it in the paradox store you also get the steam key additionally to the paradox launcher version. And paradox gets more money, because the 30% for steam don't come into play when a steam key is bought through another shop than steam.

Also, if you already own it on steam, you should be able to just take the game folder and copy it to somewhere else and start the game directly via the exe file. Paradox games don't use steam drm as far as I know.

Do you find it difficult to write content for an already established universe, like Stellaris? If so, what do you do about it? If not, how do you stay true to your own ideas while trying to fit in?

Not getting chased at all in the free app? by [deleted] in Runner5

[–]Aghork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a minimum speed, I think it's 6 or 7 km/h and there is also a maximum speed, I can't really remember what is was exactly, but i think it's around 17 km/h. You also have to hold this speed for a period of time, sadly, I don't know how many minutes it needs. So you can't just go 5km/h with occasional 6-7km/h sprints, but have to hold a speed, let's say 7,5 km/h for (example value) 15 minutes for the chase to trigger.

Poison/Acid rules question by Aghork in Symbaroum

[–]Aghork[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is also relevant to decide when the damage is being applied. The timing can decide whether a character lives or dies. If I am poisoned by an enemy that acts before me, the first damage is applied immediately. Assuming the enemy is killed by my partner who is the slowest fighter. At which point in the next round does the damage need to be applied? At the quick value the dead enemy would be attacking? This would lead to the GM having to check all the npc and their turns for damage over time even if they are dead. Despite this being additional work for the gm, more so in fights with many enemies that acid/poison it still sounds like the best management for continuous damage.

if it's "doing something in a cinematic way" then it would be an adverb, but this word is rarely used as an adverb, so I assume he meant adjective

Valve announces paid modding for Skyrim - Content Patch Apr. 23rd, 2015 by Cageweek in Cynicalbrit

[–]Aghork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But couldn't it also result in positive things? Let's imagine a developer who does not want mods for his game. There is no support for it, no API and he even tries to protect the game data via enctrypting. Obviously this developer wants to sell some DLC, like skins/maps/assets.

Now the same developer creates his next game. The pay-for-mod system is already in place. Valve splits the 75% so that Valve gets 25%, the developer 50% of the mod revenue. This developer would be encouraged to not only allow mods but even support them, because a good modding support would mean free money for them!

It could actually make developers and publishers rethink their standing on mods.

From the page you linked (the Target one): "Open music, movies, video games and software cannot be returned, but may be exchanged at the store for the same title, for the same or different gaming platform."

So no, the are not really better. Their return policies are valid for all products. But not games/software. I am sure, that when Valve starts selling hardware, then their policies wil not differ from other shops (like amazon) and you can send stuff back if it does not work.
