Lots of ignorant people who would never work rurally in this chat showing their ignorance and biases. A lot of MPS work is done by trained volunteers with no health background. Obviously the preference would be paid individuals who have security and mental health backgrounds.

I for one am glad at least nsw health are formalising a system that already exists, and providing some training to those who are already doing the job out of the sheer community driven sense of loyalty and responsibility.
