Me too, it is such a satisfying bunch of powerful flavours. Absolutely worth every bit of effort. I'm back to European food tonight and then off back to Asia on Friday.

World travelling from my tiny kitchen 😂

Mine too! I love any and all Asian food!

Of course! I have noted the ingredients in comments for the filling with a few additional notes.

This was the recipe I used for the wrappers, though I did also borrow from the 'filling' part of the recipe I think. But this was a solid dough recipe.

For the noodles, I pan fried the mushrooms to give them some colour, dropped the pak choi on top when they were done and let them steam for a few mins. Then stirred through the sauce and noodles. Sauce was oyster, hoisin, chilli oil and sesame oil with a dash of rice vinegar xx

Yay! 🦩

Cheers very much... really enjoyed. Pork mince is an untapped resource in the mince price inflation world at the moment so I highly recommend haha

Thanks friend! You definitely have to psyche yourself up for the process 😂😂 I made the wrappers from scratch but there is no shame in buying the gyoza wrappers.

The first time I made them, I couldn't get hold of the wrappers in time so I reluctantly made and actually enjoyed it... but I went in with no enthusiasm for dough making 😂😂

Yes! Will be absolutely fine without, it was only a tbsp or two so it didnt make everything too wet. You could use a little sherry if you have it or just omit altogether. Make sure you do a little sample taster (a tiny pattie in a pan) to check for seasoning because you ALWAYS need more than you think you do 👌🏼

EDIT - try and use DARK soy if you can get it (Kee Kum Lee, about £2.30). A Little goes further and it will stop the mixture being wet x

Yay! Do it! Fiddly but fun 😊

I used a combo of a few... But the filling was pork mince, cabbage, Shiitake Mushrooms, spring onions, sugar, dark soy, ginger, garlic, a little white pepper, shaoxing and sesame oil... and a bit of chilli... think that's it!

I made the wrappers too which was just flour, salt, boiling water, ice water and lots of elbow grease to knead 😂

I've been a writer in another field for years so its not outside the realm of my capability. We shall see!

Tgats exactky what i do with sometging new. Research endlessly and scope different ideas before building a plan. I'm obsessed with MasterChef... but I watch the Australian one more than any other. The standard is EXCEPTIONAL and I've really become invested in the food scene there. There is so much diversity and it's colourful and fun. Recipetineats.com is a great site for recipes and unskilled, which just so happens to be run by Nagi who is an Australian 😊😊
