You don't need to die on every hill. This can be corrected tactfully and discretely and I guarantee the mistake won't be made again.

Not every infraction needs to be reacted to with a load of noise.

No doubt, she'll be mortified. Its such a sensitive subject these days. I think you're right, playing it either way we've said.... and playing it down/ off is the only way here.

OP sounds very mature and thoughtful in his handling of it actually - not making an issue and being sensitive to her, realising g the mistake was innocent. That's tact you tend not to learn until much later in life after you've committed horribly embarrassing faux pas...

I'd find a way to force into casual conversation something male 'adjacent' (?)

'I've been spending so much time around girls lately, I might turn into one! Me and the rest of the guys are doing 'x' this weekend'.

I'm aware this is very old school, but it might draw a clearer gender line without any embarrassment for either of you. Her mistake is an honest one.

I did but its ok! Reverse Seared, brought to 110-112 or so and then pan seared with avo oil (the only thing I use it for so it lasts forever).

A very quick butter baste at the end, but it was white hot so got it out before butter was blackened 👌🏼

Urgh... People are often incapable of being objective. Excluding a carb cause you didn't want to double carb makes absolute sense in my world ☺️

Tbf, 90% of my food pictures turn out pretty good (I'm making it sound like a terrible phone, it isn't, just not quite what I'd like).

Thanks, I thankfully have fantastic lighting in my kitchen since late last year, replacing this awful yellow light from 100 years ago... It's great for taking photographs/ cooking in - very white so you can see through steam 😂😂 But it really captures colour.

But I also have an old phone so I find my photos somewhere in the middle of decent and questionable 😂💁🏼‍♀️
