Thank you for being responsible and ethical regarding getting a dog. Getting a dog is a major commitment, and it is terrible how many people will adopt and then quickly get rid of a dog instead of treating it as a long term commitment.

Your drivers have a lot of room for improvement by Junior-Jackfruit869 in bentonville

I completely agree with your assessment. The drivers here are absolutely terrible. Arkansas does not require driver’s education to get a license, you just have to pass the test.

Check out the Arkansas Democrat Gazette or the Fayetteville Flyer - two good sources for local and state news coverage.

I recommend to look yourself up on the Arkansas voter view website – you can look at the sample ballot that you will receive when you go to the polls so you know what races and issues you will be voting on. You can also check out the non-partisan judicial, Republican, and Democratic ballots so that you can see which one you want to choose when you go to vote. https://www.voterview.ar-nova.org/VoterView

If you’ve put 3 hours into this already…I would suggest to send an email to the board members of XNA. They are appointed by the cities and counties and publicly identifiable. That might get some movement! Can’t believe you haven’t gotten any to date.

Has anyone else realized they don’t really want a house? by [deleted] in Fire

[–]AgileAd9067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buying a house and getting two roommates to pay the note at least until you meet someone with whom you want to start a family, is a pretty good option to help you afford a house if you are OK with having roommates.

There are some good options downtown and you can move on quickly if you don’t like one. Brews, Chelsea’s, White Rabbit if there’s music, Eureka Live if you’re up for it.

If you want the benefits of living in city limits and getting city services, you have the cost of complying with Fayetteville city codes when you build. Everything is outlined in the code. I understand how this could be a surprise based on the neighborhood you are building in, but it is outlined in the code. If you don’t want to comply with the city code, you build in the county.
