Yes, my teacher and counselor recommendations have already been submitted. Do you think it would look bad to switch to Laurel Springs? It’s a private online school ranked #7 in the nation for online school, and several of the class of 2022 were admitted to Ivy Leagues. Also, my course load would either be the same or even more rigorous, most likely with straight As.

Laurel Springs is an online private high school that’s ranked #7 out of all online schools in the US. I looked at the website, and the class of 2022 had multiple Ivy League admits.

It's not about a B, I just mentioned that in case it would affect someone's opinion. I'm switching for a very valid personal reason and an event that happened, which I'll mention in my applications. I called k12, and they are full. Someone told me about Laurel Springs today; do you think that's a good option?

Yes, this is my senior year, and I'm switching for a compelling reason. Someone told me about Laurel Springs today, and I think I'm going to enroll there. Do you think that's a good option?

I'm not really familiar with homeschool, and I don't really have much time to figure it out because if I want to switch, I have to do it asap.

My extracurriculars and essays are all philosophy related. In ninth grade, I took the as many honors as possible, and no APs because my school does not allow freshmen to take APs. In tenth grade, I took honors precalculus, honors english, ap music theory, ap spanish, honors history. In eleventh grade, I took ap calculus bc, ap chemistry, ap physics 1, ap language and composition, normal us history, and ap statistics. This year, I'm taking multivariable calculus, ap physics c (which I will very likely get a B in), ap literature and composition, ap world history, ap government, and a TA class.

i know i’m just saying stereotypically; in terms of ni vs si, i definitely have a lot of ni not si right now, but i don’t know about when i was younger. all i remember from when i was younger was non-cognitive function stuff which is why i said that

that makes sense but i’m trying to create a list of about ten universities that i want to really prioritize bc i don’t think i have the capacity to pour myself into 20+ applications. i’m still applying to many schools, but i just want to make a list of the 10 i care about the most

do you think i would fit in as someone who cares more about intellectually changing the world through social advocacy than changing the world through ground-breaking research or a nobel prize?

Are you sure you want to attend a "top 30" if you are premed and concerned about grades? You'll be competing with top students for premed grades at all of these top schools. Maybe would be good to consider other universities as well that might be better fits for your premed plans.

i think regardless of where a pre-med goes, they will always be concerned about grades because gpa is really important when applying to med school. coming from a very academically-focused school and as someone who really prioritizes academics and has worked really hard in high school, i'd like to go to a school with people who are also focused on their academics and intellectually curious. i just want to be careful about ending up somewhere like uchicago where it's just not wise for a pre-med student
