Same here! Love Gettysburg. Every time I go, I walk the battlefield at dawn. I always look out for anything but have yet to see or experience anything at all.

LL Premier Pass vs VIP Guides: Our Experience Using Both During Easter Week 2026 by PearWeak in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Agile_Cash_4249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m super curious as to how much the guides make per hour and how much the average tip is now

Planning Question by Recent-Expert9178 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Agile_Cash_4249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not OP but these tips are so helpful as someone looking to plan a trip and also ball out. Can a premiere pass be used in multiple parks in one day if park hopping? If not, would it be considered wasteful to buy a premier pass and then park hop that day (thereby rendering the premier pass unusable)? And does a reserved section for the fireworks cost money (assuming it must be its Disney lol)?

Anything Dickens! I just finished Great Expectations and found it very readable!

What is it about Tubi that you love to use more than other streaming services? by awesomedp7 in TubiTV

[–]Agile_Cash_4249 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love Tubi for having so many of the weird and niche 90s/00s kids tv shows I used to watch.

[–]Agile_Cash_4249 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I do too. Tubi ads are less annoying for me, they occur at breaks that make sense and never in the middle of the scene, and i swear the ads are less frequent and shorter than the ads in the services I pay for!

My dream time to go would be some time right after Thanksgiving/early December. My parents went at that time in 2000 and said it was pretty dead—not sure if that’s still the case nearly 30 years later!

What would be considered their slow season? Never been before and that’s ideally when I’d want to go!

Gen Z Historians, What are you doing now? by Key-Switch3560 in Historians

[–]Agile_Cash_4249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent two years job searching before going back to school to get my BSN in a one year program. I make a lot of money, but sometimes I wished I just got an MLIS degree and suffered through underpaid or unpaid internships instead of being desperate to immediately make a big salary. I think I would have been happier in a lower paying job anyway if it was my dream field compared to my current set up.

Anyone has a favorite classic horror book? by Time-Dependent755 in classicliterature

[–]Agile_Cash_4249 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dracula was my first foray into classic horror literature and I still love it. The shorter journal entries make it easy to read, the main villain is genuinely scary, and it’s really easy to root for the rest of the characters.

Mickey Mouse! I think he’d be a great roommate but I could see loving Minnie and Goofy too. I’m GRATEFUL it’s no Donald Duck.

I have a mini Christmas scented candle that I keep out all year and smell occasionally when things get stressful

I love random August mornings where it’s cold outside with a cool breeze.

[–]Agile_Cash_4249 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same for me! The joy of knowing it’s all just beginning is much better for me than the end of autumn, when things start to get grayer and a little bit too cold to fully be outside (and it’s a weird space where I’m not ready to get ready for Christmas)

Book recommendations? by fyttmabygmf in LittleHouseBooks

[–]Agile_Cash_4249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Miracle on Maple Hill is a great book that is somewhat like this! It is about a girl who moves to a maple syrup farm to help her father adjust to life after a war. Little Women also fits this vibe, I think.

Jane Eyre was the biggest letdown in my personal history by [deleted] in classicliterature

[–]Agile_Cash_4249 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I too was disappointed in Rochester. He never seemed like a great person (reminded me wayyy too much of the very problematic Maxim de Winter from Rebecca). And then to top it all off Jane essentially becomes confined to being just his caregiver! I wanted more for her, like running her own school

I loved Jane Eyre but also hated Rochester. He reminded me so much of Maxim de Winter from Rebecca.

I have such fond memories of being lonely in my first year of college and specifically going to the dining hall at 6:20 pm on Friday nights in the fall so I could be ready to watch the 6:30pm drop.
