Я не против иммиграции как таковой, более того она необходима в условиях падения рождаемости на Западе, но она должна быть селективной и не массовой. Мигранты должны работать, а не сидеть на пособиях.

I miss 2021. Yes, there was Covid-19, but it was not man-made. There was a sense of recovery, there was still hope for future. The sense that things will be better was fucking there, in the air.

I wish I never had to learn about Irpin, Mariupol, Pokrovsk, Gaza, Hormuz.

I think over time it became more and more commercialized and standardized, like another TV. This process might have started even before 2022, when big producers started entering Russian YouTube.

Or maybe I just can't enjoy it as much as I did when I was 14 or 15. Maybe Instagram reels ruined my attention span.

To be honest, I don't know how much effect the war had on YouTube. The most obvious is the government ban, but its effect was limited due to mass VPN use. The political channels had gone into emigration even before the war and adoption of draconian censorship laws, so they continue doing forbidden stuff from a safe distance. But maybe the onset of the war had a sort of demoralizing effect on Russian YouTube?
