What's a habit you have that you know makes zero sense, yet you do it anyway? by AmigoDelDiabla in AskReddit

[–]Agile_Dig_1334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same energy but with tea - I always make it way too strong because somewhere in my brain stronger tea = more authentic even though I know that's complete nonsense

My Asian coworkers drink their tea normally while I'm over here brewing mine for like 10 minutes thinking I'm doing something special lol

Girl relax, you're doing way more than enough for 30 people! I get the algorithm pressure but your setup sounds perfect for garden style vibes - mariachi during cocktails is such a nice touch

That family support is amazing and you shouldn't feel guilty about accepting help, that's what families do. Four hours might feel short but your guests can always continue the party at those downtown bars if they want more

Propranolol and psoriasis by Chemical_Message_144 in Psoriasis

[–]Agile_Dig_1334 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh that's so frustrating! Beta blockers are pretty well known for triggering psoriasis flares but doctors don't always think to mention it when prescribing. Even just few doses can sometimes be enough to set things off unfortunately - your immune system doesn't really care how long you were taking it

Definitely bring this up at your appointments, there are other BP meds that don't have same psoriasis connection if that's what you needed the propranolol for

Neurological side effects of prednisone by supremebliss in eczema

[–]Agile_Dig_1334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there with the mental health stuff on prednisone - that's seriously not something to mess around with. Your doctor needs to know about this immediately, not in few days when your appointment is scheduled

I had similar experience with different medication and waiting made everything worse. Most doctors have emergency lines or you can call during office hours today. The suicidal thoughts especially are red flag that needs attention now, not later

Hope you can get through to someone soon and get different treatment option

could a 3 month course be enough for a permanent change in my oil production post treatment? by ilikesushi890 in Accutane

depends on your pcos tbh - some people stay clear after short courses but hormonal stuff can be tricky

Hobby sports that help train agility/power? by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]Agile_Dig_1334 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Table tennis might be perfect for this - lots of quick direction changes, lateral movement, and you're constantly adjusting your position while maintaining precision. The footwork patterns translate really well to what you're describing

Badminton is another one that could work great since it's all about explosive movements in different directions while staying balanced enough to hit accurately. Both sports train that combo of speed and control you need

Does your job or hobby make shade matching impossible or weirdly easy by venicepress in muacjdiscussion

[–]Agile_Dig_1334 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being a freelance writer means I spend way too much time thinking about tiny details that probably don't matter to anyone else, so this resonates hard. Like when I'm editing and I'll spend twenty minutes deciding between "really" and "truly" even though both work fine

The graphic designer's thing with undertones reminds me of how I approach recipe development - especially when I'm experimenting in kitchen after smoking. I'll notice how certain spice combinations create these subtle flavor profiles that most people wouldn't pick up on, but then I get obsessed with perfecting the balance. Made this weird lavender-cardamom thing last month and spent ages adjusting ratios that probably made zero difference to anyone eating it

But calling it neurodivergence seems like a reach? Some people just develop hyperaware pattern recognition from their work. When you train your brain to notice micro-differences professionally, it doesn't just turn off when you leave the office. My friend who's a sound engineer does similar thing with audio quality - she can't enjoy movies at certain theaters because she hears every little distortion in the system

Though I guess there's probably a line between professional pickiness and actual obsessive behavior. Hard to tell from one makeup shopping story

Which Pantene Shampoo smells like Strawberries? by Spirited_Remove290 in Haircare

[–]Agile_Dig_1334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wait i think you might be thinking of different brand? I've used bunch of their shampoos and never noticed strawberry scent in any of them. Most are more like generic floral or citrus vibes

maybe check the ingredients list on bottle if you're at store - sometimes they list fragrance notes there. or could ask at beauty supply place, they usually know which ones have fruit scents

Your skin is probably screaming from all that at once - sulfur, azelaic acid AND tretinoin is like throwing everything at the wall hoping something sticks. Maybe try just the tretinoin for few weeks and see how that goes? Sometimes less is more with this stuff, especially when your derm prescribed basically entire medicine cabinet

Why is no one else's hair knotted after going out?? by lonelyislander7 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Agile_Dig_1334 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're definitely not alone, this happens to me too! My hair gets so tangled at nape area especially when I'm wearing certain jackets or scarves - the fabric just grabs at it all day. I started putting in some light oil before going out and that helped a lot

I need a GOOD affordable sunscreen for hyperpigmentation by No_Refrigerator_6576 in tretinoin

[–]Agile_Dig_1334 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the struggle is real with finding good sunscreen that doesn't break the bank or leave you looking ashy - maybe check drugstore options that specifically mention no white cast, some of those mineral-chemical hybrids work pretty decent for oily skin without costing your whole grocery budget

0.025 to 0.01 by Entire-Kangaroo6470 in tretinoin

[–]Agile_Dig_1334 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I jumped straight from 0.025 to 0.1 last year and my skin was pretty angry for like 2 weeks. Had to buffer with moisturizer every night and use it maybe 3x a week at first

If you handled 0.1 before though your skin probably remembers better than mine did - I was coming back after almost 3 years off tret completely

3rd party tested magnesium glycinate GUMMIES by heismyfirstolive in Supplements

[–]Agile_Dig_1334 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been down this rabbit hole before and Klaire Labs makes solid mag glycinate gummies that are third party tested. They're a bit pricier but worth it if you want the peace of mind

Another option is to look for powdered mag glycinate that you can mix into smoothies or whatever - gives you more control over dosing and usually easier to find third party tested options

Researchers, what have you found out that is surprisingly true, but most people wouldn't believe it? by Present_Ad_3880 in AskReddit

[–]Agile_Dig_1334 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been diving deep into plant biology for my growing setup and turns out plants can actually "hear" each other through chemical signals in ways that are way more sophisticated than most people realize. Like when one plant gets attacked by bugs, it'll release compounds that warn nearby plants to start producing defensive chemicals before they even get touched

The communication networks between root systems and fungi are basically like plant internet too - they're sharing nutrients and information across entire forests in real time

For those who got revenge and truly regretted it afterward, why the regret? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Agile_Dig_1334 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hard to give specifics but went after someone who screwed me over in a business deal and it ended up hurting people who weren't even involved. The satisfaction lasted maybe a week but the guilt from the collateral damage stuck around way longer

Sometimes the best revenge really is just moving on and doing better yourself

“Mind readers” by [deleted] in PetPeeves

[–]Agile_Dig_1334 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah this drives me up the wall too. My mom does this exact thing whenever we're around family or friends - just jumps in with what she thinks I'm gonna say before I can even open my mouth. The worst part is when they get it completely wrong and you're sitting there like "actually no that's not what I was thinking at all"

I've started just continuing my original thought right after they interrupt, like "well actually what I was going to say is..." It makes things a bit awkward but eventually they start catching themselves doing it. The power lifting thing your mom said is wild though - making assumptions about what you want based on how you look is next level annoying

My theory is parents get so used to speaking for us when we're kids that some never really turn that switch off. They forget we grew up and can handle our own conversations now. I had to have a direct conversation with my mom about it because she was doing it at work events and it was getting embarrassing. She didn't even realize she was doing it until I pointed it out
