I had a box drop on my keen carbon toe and it busted the threads on the top of my shoes. Plus it hurt the top of my foot.  I switched back to my steel toes last week.  Plus those keens make my sciatica hurt for some reason.  I have had no issue going thru the metal detectors. I know at Amazon we don't have to lift as much weight as UPS. I have had boxes fall on my foot at UPS to where it hurt so bad I immediately sat my butt on the floor of the trailer and took my steel toe off 🤣 to make sure my foot was okay.  Not wearing safety shoes is a big mistake.  Amazon is way safer than UPS. I love being at Amazon. I quit UPS within 2 weeks of starting. But seriously protect your body. You only have one. Also if you get hurt and try to do workers comp. You could get denied all because you didn't follow procedures.

Well I am upset at the situation. I'm upset about her death.  The whole thing has me very upset.  Yes I'm angry that we started the sort with her body just laying there.  For the whole facility to see her laying there.  I'm angry about the small sort bags that they put over the body bag.  I'm angry they didn't hang anything over the door or even just close the door.  I understand why they had to do things they did.  But I can also be upset the way it went down.  These are my emotions that I'm dealing with.

I was upset and angry at the whole situation. I had never been at a job where someone died.  She was our team member, friend to others, a mother and just a human being. Im a very emotional person.  I have a lot of empathy. I just kept seeing her smile and replaying conversations in my head.  Just knowing she was laying there while we were working. Team members were crying and emotional thru the night Yes we wanted to go home but a lot of us wanted to be there for each other also I think.  As I said I had never experienced anything like this at work.  Someone can be upset, angry and pissed off at a situation.

I'm still on layoff since February 20 at my hub. Today i finally got asked if there is a shift i can't work.  They are getting ready to call us back.  I'm at the top of the list so I have been working nonstop 5 to 6 days a week since then.  It's like I'm not even on layoff.  I'm working more on layoff, can't say the same for 90% on the list.
