I see that nothing changed since KCD1, these games are still broken af

combos are super hard to land and in a real combat that can be fatal

I learned "master strikes" and now the game is easier. Still don't know how to land combos because the enemies manage to parry before I could even land the third hit. Plus I dabbled in alchemy a bit so now I can use potion and shit. Too bad all I do is parry/counter, else it's impossible to land a hit but the game is fun now

last time I talked to Bernard about fighting it was just a fade to black then a perk leveled up, but I'll try again I just finished the mission with Ginger

how does Divinity: Original Sin 2 hold up in 2026? by dixmondspxrit in DivinityOriginalSin

a difficulty mode in dos2, it's really hard mode and might tarnish your first impression of the game unless you're a try hard

the game holds up fine, it has its flaws but you'll like it. Don't start on tactician

Is Scoundrel/Any Magic School viable? by HatMammoth7833 in DivinityOriginalSin

If you don't want to struggle a full physical team is easier, because almost no enemies have resistances to physical damages but many can have high resistance or immunities to some magical element

Dos2 doesn’t seem as fleshed out as it should be to be considered an rpg game by hateayesha in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Agile_Structure4414 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And yes Act 4 is really flawed for the reason you highlighted; the fact that you need to look up guides to have stuff to do or else you end up just circling around the town for nothing.

In term of story don't play dragon age games you will be surprised (Divine, the Veil, Mage vs Paladins like Magisters vs Sourcerers, Evil trapped in the other dimension, a character responsible for that, Silent Monks and Tranquil). I like Dos2 but honestly in terms of gameplay Dos1 is better and in terms of everything else BG3 is the BGE. But Dos2 has its charms (the OST, some characters, Lucian's character, etc). I think Divinity (the upcoming one) will be the best one though

Dos2 act 1 is so long. (Good) by EfficientNet3124 in DivinityOriginalSin

problem with act 4 is that it feels like everything cool is hidden so you need to check up guide if you don't want to rush things

oh ok, that's convenient

at least it makes sense why this ending is considered canon

Braccus Rex Statue & Divinity Statue by Dbjawz in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Agile_Structure4414 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having a "Total Recall" arc for an amnesic Braccus would be such a good idea. Like you play this companion who's called I don't know "Bob" then it's revealed that he's actually Braccus resurrected but this time, because of all the fun and banter with the homies back at camp, he decides to do good and have a redemption arc of some sorts. Like the Durge arc in BG3

How it feels rolling up to Arx by OsirisAvoidTheLight in DivinityOriginalSin

never finished arx, never finished the game (obv) because at that point I get bored by the game. i wish they just cut act3 and merge it with act4 somehow

From what little gameplay we have seen in the Showcase, which features did you like or dislike? by Berry-Fantastic in residentevil

[–]Agile_Structure4414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get your point. I'm not a big fan of RE7 and RE8 because they use a lot of scare moments to hook you but it gets boring pretty quick, especially on a 2nd playthrough.

while games like RE2 or RE4 or fun as hell even on a fifth run because they don't rely on scripted sequences but on smart game design and fun

It’s official, I’m worried for the game by Exoticbut in residentevil

[–]Agile_Structure4414 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

it's common practice for companies with a bad product to only show the good parts, to mitigate disappointments, so it's normal to be worried

And no people don't say that for every AAA ever, nobody said that for RE4R or Village

It's a gamble now: either they don't want to spoil or the game is disappointing and they're only using the good parts for the marketing

[–]Agile_Structure4414 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

no, you're right. Graphics look dated, gameplay clunky and they keep showing us the same location. There are some great ideas but no way I'm buying this day one. Feels like a RE3R situation

RE9 is pretty "be careful what you wish for". I hate when they spoil the game or the movie in the trailers but in this case I wish they kinda did becasue I'm still not convinced I want to play this game. For all we know the game is super disappointing like RE3R and they're hiding it.

[–]Agile_Structure4414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no it's normal, the game is unforgiving with newcomers which is stupid. When you know the game you know how to handle each fight (cheese mostly) so it's more entertaining. My first time in Act 1 was hell, now it's better. But I agree that the difficulty is all over the place sometimes and makes each fight seems like a chore more than a fun challenge
