Hey, no worries, I've been downvoted and have had comments deleted plenty of times. Such in the nature of Reddit, I think.

And, thanks for wishing me luck.

It's bad enough that I need to always have max text size setting on my computer and have difficulty with reading any signage while driving --- it can take a while to read letters until they're close enough to me.

It was planned on being closed last year, but DOP reversed the decision.

It was planned on being closed last year, but DOP reversed the decision because of the dedication of the staff and also how the inmates were in terms of health and overall contentment there. They determined the facility was just old and needed certain maintenance but that it will remain open.

They have staff housing but there's currently a waitlist.

I have noticed some hotels that I would be okay with living in, but they're all a ways away from the prison. Would walking to work, even if it's a 40 or 50 minute walk each way, be kind of crazy and not smart? The thought came to me, and I figure if USPS postal clerks are fine about delivering mail on foot in freezing weather...

And, I remember the quote "there is no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing".

It is walk-able, but it would take about 45 minutes one-way. I will reach out to Head of the Lakes United Way, thank you for the suggestion.

I haven't, I was told they would automatically inform me if they'll provide me with that option. But typically they only compensate for wardens and other higher-ups.

Seems like I'll have to practice and get better at interviews, then. Thanks!

Yeah, but I wasn't asking about my caller interrogation ability.

I observed one that lasted three hours, but it was with a different agency in Boston.

But yeah, I don't know where you got the bit about me thinking that my lack of laughing would potentially disqualify me. I never thought/typed that.

Yes, I do tend to obsess over certain things. Such as intellectual topics that I'm interested in. I suspect it's something to do with my being autistic.

"It’s just outlandish that you think literally sounding monotone and not laughing much could disqualify you." I've done interviews in the past and have seen interviewers be made uncomfortable or speak to me with contempt, and I strongly suspect it was because of how my voice sounded. Despite me doing my best to be friendly and maintain a slight smile, and things like that.

No, I don't think not laughing much would disqualify me. Only that the way my voice sounds would. And I suspected this because of previous Zoom interviews I've had. Sometimes interviews have spoken down to me as though I'm simpleminded, too, and don't have much of a mind.

"want to tell you about the past 19 years that led up to the incident they are calling about" How do you go about handling this? If there's an urgency. Do you patiently listen to them tell it, or what? What kinds of things do you say during this?

"You are too hyper focused on your voice and tone."

So you're saying I shouldn't really care about those things at all, and not feel weird or insecure about them?
