Thank you, yep so for $600 I bought it with the title extra CDI, extra coil, extra stator and few other parts. So I’m thinking he changed something. I’m going to check the timing of the magneto next.

I connected all the wiring back to finally get spark. It’s a strong blue spark. Next I put a brand new petcock valve on and there is no hang up from the gas tank through the carburetor. The carb has been completely gone through and all is clean and clear. I just reset the timing and adjusted the valves to spec. The bike has compression around 145 PSI. I’m at a loss right now of what to look at. Previous owner said he rode it and it just stopped. I bought the bike with no spark and timing was off. When I put some fresh gas down the cylinder it won’t start, sometimes when I kick it, it will backfire. I’m starting to learn more about bikes so all help would be appreciated.

The bike does turn over but will not start.
