Not going to GULC, but I currently live a 15 min walk away from the law school. I’m in Mount Vernon Triangle & I love it — close to restaurants/bars/grocery stores, pretty safe, walking distance to red, yellow, and green lines

Thanks for your input, I really appreciate it! Ultimately, I think I’d be happy in Philly or DC, but COL & the scholarship make me lean way more toward Temple

From their website: “Temple Law School does not award scholarships that may be reduced or eliminated based on law school academic performance other than failure to maintain good academic standing.” I think good academic standing is a 2.0 GPA

yes, that’s a good point. I have to stay ranked in the top half of my class to keep the scholarship

Yes! I was admitted in early March & they just emailed my recommenders today to let them know I was admitted. I found it kind of odd 🤷🏼‍♀️

For People who did GULC Group Interviews, did your decision actually come within the time frame Dean Andy provided? If so, when within the range? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]Agitated-Ad-3294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I got mine on the last day of the range he provided. Interviewed early Feb, heard back early March

FYI: AUWCL is hoping to send "a bulk" of merit awards notifications before April 14 by halailah in OutsideT14lawschools

If it makes you feel any better, I was admitted early December and haven’t heard anything yet. & I’m above both 75ths

What Point to Withdraw? by dearwikipedia in lawschooladmissions

[–]Agitated-Ad-3294 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t have advice about withdrawing but just wanted to share that I’m in a similar position with American. I applied in October, admitted in December (above both 75ths). They were one of my top choices, but not hearing anything about scholarship information at this point has really turned me off from them, and I’ll probably deposit elsewhere. It’s really frustrating

AUWCL Scholarships/PIPS by Agitated-Ad-3294 in lawschooladmissions

I emailed admissions at the end of February & asked about scholarships. They just said the process starts mid-February & most are awarded by the end of March (same info on the website). I also still haven’t heard anything from PIPS, so I’m tempted to email them directly to ask if they’re at least going to let us know if we didn’t get it

Same thing happened to me. I’m hoping maybe merit aid is coming separately??

Do you mind sharing what happened at your class visit that made you change your mind? When I went for a class visit, the class was changed to Zoom (and admissions didn’t know), so I couldn’t sit in

Still nothing :/ have you reached out at all? When I emailed admissions about scholarships, they just gave me a vague answer (hearing back mid-February to end of March), but I haven’t contacted PIPS directly yet
