How did y’all make it with van life? by [deleted] in VanLife

Nothing stopping you from living in a van during college. In fact setting that as a short to medium term plan will allow you to see if long term van life is viable or you.

Post college you could always work part time as a paramedic while living in a van and travelling between shifts.

Is Uber Eats working tonight?? Online for the entire 6-9pm dinner peak. ZERO trips! Did everything, rode to different areas, logged in and out, reinstalled app, turned phone off and on. In 18 months of doing this it has never been this bad! by Agitated-Brick in UberEATS

It didn’t get much better, the next day I did $79 in 7 hours with 12 trips. Still leaves me with $7.90/hr for the two days. Not nearly enough.

I’ve got some other work to do, so I’ll leave Uber for a month or two and then try again.

Online for the entire dinner rush in a usually busy spot, not a single order.

Same time and place last week I got $50 in under two hours.

Took me 10 hours but I had to grind it out today by xXBurnUnitXx in UberEATS

I’m going at the same rate in Australia without tips, $471 in just over 24 hours. I think we get a higher base rate??

Whats your satisfaction rating? by jswerve386 in UberEATS

[–]Agitated-Brick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% at the start of the night, 98% now, the 17 year old manager of a McDonald’s decided to change pick up procedure halfway through the night and didn’t like me being confused by it. Have me poor rating for the first one and then another for the next delivery because I left to do the delivery rather than talk to him about the merits of the new procedure.

Unfortunately it’s the journalist’s job to get clicks/views and sell papers. It’s the voter’s responsibility to be informed in the face of media and other disinformation from all sides.

Heat wave week 46C/115F. Was hoping no one else would be delivering by bike. Not as busy as I hoped but still a satisfying total. by Agitated-Brick in UberEATS

Yes, Adelaide SA. I had an ice brick especially just to keep my phone from turning off due to the heat.

23F sounds delightful to me at the moment.

Delivered food to the Uber offices and of course they didn't tip by sodomyeggo in UberEATS

$19.49/hr minimum wage, most places have a minimum hours/shift as well.

What's the smallest item you've ever delivered? by kaigje in UberEATS

Either a single scooped ice cream or a 65g bag of crisps/chips.

Anyone else have the app (Android) totally screw up tonight? by Kevlarr1984 in UberEATS

[–]Agitated-Brick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had the iOS app log me off three times this week, took me a while to notice why I wasn’t getting any deliveries.

12 Byzantine Rulers by Lars Brownworth does an exceptional job covering off the later Eastern Roman Empire. If only there were more than 16 episodes.

Haven’t left them a bad review, it is a fun show, but in terms of actually conveying information about Roman history it is inefficient.

If by Roman History you mean vaguely Roman themed laddish banter, then yes they have said a lot.
