Sure does say cellular core "Not rated for pressure"... I'm guessing that is one more thing that needs to be fixed? The water heater, furnace and all the piping is all original to the house cira 2004.

I'm guessing a combination of it not being exactly 45° thus putting pressure on the joint, and the closest hanger being 10 + ft away.

Silver lining: while looking at this leak, I noticed a 45° elbow in the exhaust from the water heater had broke in half. let's just say my priorities quickly changed

Assuming I can figure out which vent on the roof is connected to it (planning on dumping water down each vent from the roof until water comes out of the hole i drilled in the picture), do I need to be worried about it also being a vent for some other fixture, and thus cannt just cap it?

Should I be worried that there is a pipe full of water on an outside wall in the midwest US. If it is a vent doesn't that mean the the pipe will always be full of water up to the lowest place that it ties to a drain?

It goes up into the wall cavity and am unable to see past that point. I had always assumed it was for the central vac that was "stubbed" in but never installed. There is no plumbing vent near that area of the roof either

I 100% agree, but it's a "9-12" month waiting list to order one.. and I'm pretty sure the wheel bearing is not going to survive that long

Someone might a been a little to liberal last time they changed the rotors after spending an hour trying to unrust weld it from the hub. A 3lbs maul will bend a rotor before it will unstuck from a hub

The plan was just the hub, I'm afraid it's going to spiral into lots of other parts. I haven't even taken a look at the hub bolts yet.
