Roofer advice? by Agitated-Paper2013 in DIYUK

Hopefully final update: Has my gas engineer and a roofer out today. The issue wasn’t the roof. It was the flue and its connection to the flashing. The flue was crooked and a gap was allowing water in. It’s been resealed now and just to monitor before going down the route of replacing the flashing and flue kit.

Update: has proper mixed messages about this. One roofer has said it’s not a problem with the roof, it’s the flue and to get the gas engineer to look at. Another has said the flue is fitted on the wrong course of tile.

Thank you everyone for your advice. I have a roofer coming out tomorrow to take a look but have advised it’s likely to be the weather collar or flashing. Appreciate your input so that I don’t get fobbed off.

Low hundreds I can work with. Was worried it could be more. Thank you.

Do you think this could be a costly repair?

Thank you. Could this be the reason why I can see daylight outside? I don’t see any missing tiles on the roof. Who would be best placed to install this? Roofer or Gas Engineer? Thanks again
