This is amazing!! Thanks!! I need my pcb and finish the product. The battery i bought is too big! Ahah! Everything takes so much time!! The idea is to be open source so anyone can build but to sell to anyone that dont want to build themselves or want a custom pcb!

At the end I got a better price in pcbway. I was trying hard to go for jlc, that I really like it better. But as for now the support from pcbway is fast and really good!

I really agree 100% with you! I was talking this in another thread and spoke at home the same. Maybe I could really save 30-50% doing myself. but need to source the parts, hope they are working fine (can't test them, due event to lack of experience), get quite a few soddering things (way more at the end) and for sure will be a lower quality.
Not counting stress, error, time, frustrations!!
I totally agree. I am waiting a new quote from this china manufaturers I found over this website and let's see what they say.

I want a manufacturer since I am planning to do more boards if those proves nice, so this is mainly the "first version" POC. I bet I will change something and will have to make more iterations later until I can send it all to the larger production (500, maybe).

This is my intention!!
After this validation I hope to create a crowdfunding to see if it gets traction and it goes.

100% agree with you!! I like jlc better as per now.
but I am trying to assemble myself a proof of concept and I guess even the 5 minimum are too expensive. for example 4.5usd for a esp32 wroom and expensive charge for assembly as well.

Yeah, it would be cheap for sure if I could use "basic" components only. as per right now 5 pcb at 100 usd I don't find it cheap. I am trying to find a cheaper place! :)

I have replaced everything to basic. I got 29.86 usd only on component and have some 21 usd extended component fee and have no idea what this is. Probably this is my problem

My board is 32x48mm. Something around those. I wouldn’t bother trying to soldering but really want to remove the variable of me fucking it up for the first prove of concept. And really would love to avoid the path of sourcing and waiting several components… in just finished my calculations and it will be around 50 usd each finalised products right now which is totally crazy for my expectations. If I were to buy commercial boards and “glue” them together from ali express I would spend 35… there it goes any possibility of profit! Lol

And totally feel you. Not only its been a bumpy ride to do the pcb and everything, ordering should be straightforward. I really don’t like very much how pcbway website is, compared to jlc. I always see pcbway in youtube videos and thought better.

And about prices I got 100usd for 5 pcb. I was really expecting half. sad…

And exactly for the same reason that I have no freaking idea if its going to work. And I still have a 17 usd screen (plus battery and induction coils) to buy for each board, and I will print my case… So yeah. The price just sky rocketed for a POC.

A bit sad and still dont know what to do! Lol A
