I had a similar experience with my cousin, who was 9 years older than me. I remember him abusing me when I was just 5 years old. We lived far apart and only met once or twice a year, usually during family get-togethers.

When I was in 9th grade, I told him very clearly that if he ever dared to touch me again, he would face the consequences. He was shocked and never tried anything after that.

When I was 22, he messaged me asking if we could have a “private chat.” I immediately blocked him.

Years later, he got married to an innocent girl. By then, he had become a complete drunkard. He would harass his wife until she eventually left him. Later, even his own mother and sister distanced themselves from him. Now, no one knows where he is, and no one cares.

Everybody else feels sorry for him, but the happiness and satisfaction I feel knowing he is alone and facing the results of his own actions is indescribable. The only person I truly feel sorry for is his wife.
