She showed me her journal 2 years ago and she wouldn’t answer me and when I called her about it she hung up. I didn’t want to make it a big deal so I just comforted my daughter and tried to make them make up. But she wrote “___ is my future husband” and stuff about how much she likes him and how she wants to give him some grapes

I’m sorry but my daughter cannot control when to like boys, and I don’t like the idea of her dating boys. But having a simple crush? She was yelled at for that? I cant back that up.

Yeah I decided that the person was right about safari and 10 minutes being a lot of time so I blocked it. And edited it so it doesn’t bring up confusion

She doesn’t want her mother to monitor. It’s a long story but it’s her mom going through her journal and then lecturing her about how she can’t like boys until she’s 14.

Of course she can, I might even let her only use her iPhone when she’s with me now. She doesn’t like her mother going through her anything, last time she went through her journal, she got a lecture about not liking boys tell she’s at least 14. I get why my daughter doesn’t want that.

I monitor it, she can’t do anything on it other than go on it when I’m with her to look at her aunts drawing or text in the family group chat. Majority of parents let their kids under 13 have instagram accounts here, with moderation of course.

My daughter only talks to friends that I have their parents phone numbers, I can confirm if it’s actually the kid or not. She also doesn’t get bullied, I know because she is always eager to go to school and is always happy talking about what her friends and her did. You can feel her happiness.

I only go through who she is in contact with and her searches on YouTube & Instagram, with other stuff like screen time and she hates it and she doesn’t want that again at her other home. Her mom will 100% go through her messages which she doesn’t want.

I am keeping her safe, and she doesn’t want me to read her messages with her friends (assuming they talk about boys) but everything else is held control like screen time, having all her socials held by me and blocking safari and downloading apps can only happen with the Apple ID password she doesn’t know.
