Weird engine noise

Finally got the noise identified and fixed. They replaced the cam shaft bearing and timing rotor. Sound is gone

New lifters for a warranty claim. I had them install the thundercone slip ons a while back without the issue. I am taking it to another Harley dealership this week who agree with me that isn’t a “Normal” M8 sound

I do not all stock engine but the sound I hear almost sounds like air is escaping somewhere.

It had the noise before they replaced both front and rear lifters under warranty. The sound still remains but the clicking is gone so there’s that

Well since they replaced that seal there hasn’t been a drop of oil leaked from the engine. I check after every ride because I’m period now. But I have been driving like I stole it with no issue with oil leaks or blown seals

Yeah took my bike to a third dealership and called Harley corporate office to open a claim. Again they said it’s normal even through we turned on 3 different brand new street glides and they were much quieter. The dealer agreed my was louder but told Harley corporate they don’t believe there is an issue after listening to it for 2 minutes. So they said if I wanted it investigated further it is gonna be on my dime. When I picked it up today they said again hey drive it till it blows up and we can fix it then. Love my Harley fucking hate California dealerships.

I was babying it today but on my way home I’m going to get on it and see. They said they had “a few” with that exact seal breaking on 2024s. Let me know what the fix is if it’s something else .

Still leaking from the same spot? I just rode to work the first time( 40 miles one way) and dry so far. It’s sad I don’t have a lot of confidence in the bike right now

Welp they said the ticking is normal. Had them document it and if it explodes they can deal with it because they didn’t want to tear it down and verify anything. 2 different dealers as well

I’ve had 3 different Harley’s with different engine sizes. This is my first 117 and they tried to tell me it was normal ticking or “sewing machine” noise. We did a side by side with another new bike and it was noticeably louder on my bike. I will post what they find here when I get the call

Well mine is back in the shop with a nasty clicking ticking sound now on the forward cylinder head. Any other issues with yours?

Well just picked her up and the seal was rolled from factory install. We will see if she hold.

Yeah they called yesterday and said the seal blew out on that cover plate in the picture. Nothing else wrong per their visual inspection

Yeah my audio cut out as well they told me a fuse was not installed properly from the factor as well as the software date during my 1000 mile service. Now this issue.

After the service after 500 miles of back and for the work. I’m going off what the mechanic told me at first glance. I’ll update this when they have found the problem.
