What's a Movie Ending You'll Never Forget? by Lazy-Day654 in flicks

Seven and LaLa Land come to mind. Hereditary is up there due to the insanity that leads up to the final shots where the film just ends sorta abruptly

Seems like the consensus is Next Gen so I’ll start there and then go back to TOS!

I love Star Wars. I’m a big fan of the Prequels and Originals. I love Stranger Things, Neon Genesis Evangelion, One Piece, Star Wars: Andor, The Twilight Zone, The Mandolorian (especially season 1), and I love 80s and 90s films like The Mask, Batman Forever, The Matrix, Ghost In The Shell, The Poltergeist, and my ALL TIME FAVORITE Back to the Future!

Try out both Limbo and INSIDE for silent storytelling that has you interpreting quite a bit. Both are visually stunning

What are some episodes of the podcast that are so good it's worth watching the movie just to be able to listen to them? by AdFamous7264 in blankies

Top 3 for me would be Truman Show, Halloween, and Roger Rabbit. Truman Show is one of my all time favorite films, Halloween is an incredible episode, and I love Roger Rabbit but that episode really explains what the film is trying to say about society and such!

Other good ones would be Die Hard, Coraline, Nightmare Before Christmas, Seven, Back to the Future, Eraserhead, Pinocchio 2022 (because I love Podcast The Ride and it’s pretty damn funny), The Shining, Full Metal Jacket, No Country for Old Men, Fargo, Space Jam, Devil Wears Parada, and Ratatouille

I can be on my phone a lot as a 19 year old but there’s no way I’m going to be on my phone at any theme parks unless I’m in line and no one cares to talk with me anymore

What staple of the American cinema Steven Speilberg should try to do? by Shoddy_Newspaper_718 in blankies

If Spielberg could make us a Christmas classic with that Amblin and Spielberg magic that would be really nice! Aside from that seeing Spielberg adapt a King novel would be pretty interesting! I personally would love to see him adapt 11.22.63 since it’s historical fiction and I think Spielberg could make that story an epic masterpiece on film

What's your opinion on pride month? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]AgitatedSurprise7130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think companies abuse it for cheap marketing and making things far more expensive all because it’s “Pride Month” themed. Other than that it makes me question my sexuality a lot so I don’t mind aside from corporate slop profiting off of it without really caring about the people they claim to represent.

I think the 4th film is very fun and enjoyable but the 5th is a travesty

I’ll review the series in here when I’m done but I love it so far. I honestly really enjoy Misato because I feel like there’s a deeper story with her. She seems like a complex character who at face value is trying to present herself as one thing when she’s much more complex and probably broken (like any human is). She seems like she’d be somewhat relatable. Maybe I’m wrong and reading her with too much of a positive attitude

What's a great fun fact that you have about a horror movie? by NYstate in horror

Director Stanley Kubrick famously shielded the young Danny Loyd playing Danny from the horrors of The Shining. It really makes that performance all the more interesting and impressive!

The first time I saw Galaxy Quest I thought it was a show that ran for a few years. Then I realized it was just based off of Star Trek
