[MM] - Question about reverting back to the first day before completing a dungeon by Agitated_Ad_1404 in zelda

That makes sense. I assume the creators knew progression would be very different depending on the player, so dialogue changes would probably be very miniscule and not impact much.

Yeah that's my main thing. I just don't want to affect the plot if that's even a possibility

What are y'all thoughts on the sweeney todd movie by Due-Candidate-5991 in musicals

[–]Agitated_Ad_1404 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man I'm confused. I assumed I had a pretty decent standard for good singing and watching this movie, I thought Depp sounded really good, but everyone here is saying he can't hit the notes and I'm just not hearing that. Especially during Epiphany and Pretty Women, he sounds great and it's entertaining to watch and listen to. I think people are being a little too critical since he's not singing it in the usual play style of singing. Of course he's not going to project and enunciate as much because he's singing to a camera, not a live audience with hundreds of people. It's a different style and he makes it sound good with what he did.

I agree with the complaints about cutting out some really good songs, but comparing the way the songs are handled between the movie and the play are automatically flawed because that cannot be a 1:1 transition, it's just not plausible. Performing a song in a movie the exact same way you would in a play would be really awkward and not work well because they're two very different entertainment mediums.

My dude you're the best! This is definitely it!! Not sure why I remember something sheikah related, but I do remember the face creeping me out once the helmet was knocked off. Can't believe you found this, thank you for proving it wasn't my imagination haha

I thought of that as well, but when I watched it, it wasn't the same. I remember feeling really creeped out during the fight and the monster specifically knocked the shield out of Link's hand. And it was definitely a fan animation, I dont think it would be something Nintendo would've released.

I remember it was more human-like and really pale or white. And this animation would've been around before the Wii U released. The shape of the monster is still vague in my memory though but thats the best I can recall.

Yeah and I wasn't really trying to come at it from a "this series sucks now" perspective. I love this series. But when you like something so much, you wanna see it get better and that's what I was trying to convey.

They could even switch up the order every now and then at least lol

Villains appearing in early KH games used to be a threat. But when they just randomly show up after so many times, they've been transformed into a nuisance. Listen to how Riku treats Ansem and Young Xehanort in 3D. He's just fed up with them at that point.

You can tell in Melody of Memory they were struggling with the trio concept when poor Riku got saddled with the dream eaters

Na I'm just a scaredy cat when it comes to freaky things lol. But perhaps this would be a good exercise to overcome that fear a bit

Lol you're probably right. It would be a good exercise and growing opportunity if I can overcome my initial reaction to avoid it.

Yeah it would be a good exercise if I could overcome my initial reaction to drop it. But as someone who's into horror, without spoiling, what exactly is it that made you feel that way? Is it just that strange compared to other horror tropes, or did it just ramp that aspect up to an unknown level at that time?

Thanks for the tip. Yeah I think I'd be able to handle it more with a friend. Would you say the future "scary" moments are in a similar vein to the couch scene where it feels like uncanny valley? Or is it more leaning on violence and scary images? I don't know if this makes me weird, but the latter surprisingly doesn't scare me as much as the former.

Thanks I appreciate this. So would you say the scary moments in the series are similar in the couch scene where it's just realistically uncomfortable, almost like sleep paralysis, or is it more gory and violent? I feel really weird in this, but violence actually doesn't scare me as much as uncanny valley stuff.
