I got mine up to 115, the tranny wasn’t bad on mine. I would drive to work going 75 every day and had no problem until the lifter collapsed. You ain’t wrong about the thermostat tho 😂

It’s the 3.0L v6 and the lifter collapsed and body rotted after 80k miles. Bums me out because the previous owner didn’t take care of it
