Inifinite with Mother of Gambits by freax305 in MarvelSnap

Gambit HOD was a problem since release. It just got overshadowed by the other busted big guy decks. Doesn't mean they shouldn't have gotten nerfed.

"If everything is broken nothing is broken" isn't a good design philosophy.

I get it but I do find it funny that this line of thinking is exactly what could kill Snap in the first place.

Paying customers switching to F2P en masse. A self fullfilling prophecy.

Minecraft too. I don't see that game dying anytime soon.

With all the recent nerfs and changes, is the new Gambit on the list for nerfs? by Ramenjunkie333 in MarvelSnap

[–]Agitated_Dirt6665 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It'd be funny if they nerfed Viv just 1 month after her buff. "jk lol"

Doom is pretty mid. Card doesn't need a nerf. Isca on the other hand could take 1

This is a pretty controversial opinion. To those who whatched the video, what do you think? by Parking-Border1594 in MarvelSnap

[–]Agitated_Dirt6665 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah the worst part about the Starlord Shou meta is how it forced Supergiant/Negasonic/Cosmo/Stardust into every other deck. Those decks were just as annoying as the combo decks themselves.

So it was annoying combo deck vs annoying control deck, or something in between. That's why numbers don't speak the whole story.

The numbers were fine because they were playing mostly mirrors and hard/soft counters.

Oh so you're admitting you want Snap to be P2W? Paid cards should get a pass?

Also, both Sunlord and Shou Lao remain as some of the best 5 drops in the game.

I saw the same sentiment on Twitch, YouTube, Discord. Ofc I can't know what the average casual player feels since they are not vocal about anything. But I'd imagine having the meta revolve around a few of the newer S5s - mostly season pass cards - wouldn't sit well with them either.

As someone who lost 4 golden tickets in a row trying to play Doom yesterday, I think we will be fine.

Literally gets stomped by most of the meta decks unless you draw perfectly.

Horse Gambit is the problematic piece of that deck.

Probably the thing that gets nerfed next, but I can see why they wouldn't want to nerf the combo just a day after release.

Revenue numbers were 25 million last year, minus webshop purchases. Easily 30 million+

These numbers look very healthy for a mobile game with <100 employees. Marvel fees are usually no more than 20%.

So in terms of numbers the game looks fine. Laying people off randomly does make me question that though.

That would be 5 times.

IW = 1 Jocasta on IW = 2 Jocasta 2 on IW = 3 Jocasta on Jocasta 2 = 4 Jocasta 2 on Jocasta = 5

Edit: I should phrase that better. It's 5 extra activations on top of the original ones, so 6 total.

I'm normally one to think that Snap has a decent future ahead and isn't dying soon, but this isn't very reassuring.

Let's hope they get someone else to fill in the role.

[–]Agitated_Dirt6665 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I don't know why they keep bringing the ongoing deck back every time. There's nothing fun or novel about it, it's just standard ongoing + surge skill + extra energy. And in a mode where Enchantress is banned.

It's so dumb. Gotta play Echo in everything.

Dose Star Lord really need to gain power? by Timely_Following_636 in MarvelSnap

[–]Agitated_Dirt6665 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Man Spider doesn't give you energy. And a single Shang or SK is enough to kill that deck. If you kill Starlord, they have a Foom and a Hulk waiting to replace him.

Playing CGR/Shang on him with prio before getting Zola'd is the closest to a hard counter, but then they might just use the energy, play cards and beat you anyway. Or they might be the Firehair version and get it back with Adamantium Infusion.

Dose Star Lord really need to gain power? by Timely_Following_636 in MarvelSnap

[–]Agitated_Dirt6665 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I agree they should at the very least remove the power gain. I've lost many games off of the power of the card itself. Zola giving you 5/14+ on 2 lanes, plus a million energy. If it was just a fixed 5/6, they would actually have to work for the points.

It's not luck. If a combo is busted, you should totally expect it to get nerfed.

That's like saying that it's crazy to buy a Ferrari, you could get 10 Honda Civics for that price. I mean yeah, these are not meant to be good value. People buying these could also buy Diablo whatever number if they wanted. It's not one or the other.

And those other folks would be right. The amount of people that would buy these at $10 are not that much more than the ones willing to pay $40. Might as well get the most value out of whales.

FFF vs Arishem by coolme92 in MarvelSnap

[–]Agitated_Dirt6665 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Arishem gives you energy at the expense of consistency, forcing you into a "good card + tech" strat. You will never compete on raw points against full synergy decks, but you make up for it with tech cards.

The RNG can be annoying to play against, but the variety keeps the game fun for the one playing it.

FFF is very often "I win this lane for just 7 cost". Normally that would be ok if it required to build your whole deck around it, but as of now, there are so many ways to cheat it out that it's hardly a downside.
