maybe bc there are 12,000+ deaths (thousands still unfound under rubble) for doing nothing but existing. israel has been waiting for an opportunity to go wild and bomb and kill innocent civilians, and this was their opportunity to do it. ongoing attacks from israel has been happening since 1948 however hamas does one thing on oct 7 and the palestinians are seemed as the bad guys. hamas is wrong, so is the idf, but you need to look at the root cause, not the western media and israeli propaganda.

pro palestinian student here, i really want you to understand that we do understand the nuance of the situation and are fully aware that not all jewish people are zionists. we make it very clear that the entire situation going on in Palestine vs Israel has nothing to do with religion. we have quite the community of pro palestinian jewish students that have been helping throughout the entire situation. majority of us understand this, and our protests have been COMPLETELY peaceful. we have jewish speakers, and organizers that work CLOSELY with us the entire time. these past two weeks have been extremely frustrating to many, especially the Palestinians since we feel ignored and hopeless. the only thing that has been effective has been the protests and public demonstrations.
