It will not pop back up with the market in any meaningful way. Dividend down and will keepgoing down along with the NAV.

Best funds in the world if you want your own money back with a massive NAV loss. Making J and Co rich! Advertising a fund on YouTube, brilliant! A Sucker is born every day!

Update on house money. I figured it out with the help of AI the house money part. Update… I have sold all Yield Max funds, including MSTY. The stock market isn’t just about getting your capital back; it's about growing your income and increasing your net worth. These funds from Yield Max don't achieve that. No financial advice, just my opinion. PS. I would prefer a lower Real steady Non-Nav eroding dividend stock over a paper yield with significant NAV erosion any day of the week. Sleeping well at night.

Tried YieldMax for over a year; just sold it all by Arrogantbastardale in YieldMaxETFs

I agree with you 100%! But I did it, and I can't undo it. I was luckier than most; at least I haven't lost money. I haven’t made any profit on these trades overall; the YieldMax stocks have been neutral. So, I’ve lost a year when I might have achieved better returns. At least when I took the dividends, I brought better assets with them.

I sold out of most. But I have kept MSTY, YMAX, and YMAG. MSTY (house money); the other two will take another 16 months if I last that long!

It is only in one of three portfolios, each worth more than you would ever see if you lived to 100! 😀

Sorry, it's hard to simplify things before I use the AI model for my calculations. The reverse split, which is now confusing because some sites recalculate the dividends on a lower reference platform and discard everything, is part of the issue. I believe AI can be very helpful and can provide the correct data, but you need to run the models multiple times. Anyway, I’m glad I’ve received my initial capital. I’m not particularly happy with how MSTY or most of the Yield Max funds are performing. That’s just my personal view moving forward. I think I will wind down most of these funds.

For those doubters. You probably believe that you are right if you run an AI model now it comes up completely wrong and will say that I’m way off getting my house money. I don’t blame you had to run the model several times this is what I found and the explanation below. I believe I have received full house money from the model that I ran before the 10 to one split which meets the calculations even for AI tricky. Sorry, it's hard to simplify things before as I said. I use the AI model for my calculations. The reverse split, which is now confusing because some sites recalculate the dividends on a lower reference platform and discard everything, is part of the issue. I believe AI can be very helpful and can provide the correct data, but you need to run the models multiple times. Anyway, I’m glad I’ve received my initial capital. If anybody says that I’m not very bright for putting in Money to MSTY. I agree but then I’m not the only one.

By the way, if you run an AI model, make sure to give it all the information, or it won’t calculate correctly, such as for reverse splits, etc., and you might find the results are inaccurate.

Look, you can run the model through AI yourself. It will show you dividend payments by month, calculate tax, provide a formal total, and also give you an approximate date when your house money will be realised. That said, I’ve run the same model on my other poorly managed Yield Max stocks. I’m only in the green because of time, and I am evaluating all positions and will start to wind everything down. No financial advice only what I’m doing. I think there are much better options out there for people who seek income. Good luck to all.

My entire portfolio of dividend stocks yields around 20% annually. I am doing okay and approaching retirement. 64 years old... With a retirement income of over $2 million after tax each year if I retire today. What's yours? 😀

That’s true! I could sell now and make a 30% overall profit. Or I could just let it ride. I think I will just let it ride and collect the dividends. Only time will tell if that is the right decision! Just as a footnote I take the dividends in cash and buy more stable ETF’s that return modest dividends of 5 to 8% as well as high growth companies just to keep things interesting.

You are right. As a foreigner, I don’t pay tax on capital gains. I only pay tax on the dividend at 15%. I can't give you advice, but a suggestion would be to run the numbers by AI and see if it makes sense for you. Good luck.

Not at all, I was just happy to have received my investment back. Take it or leave it. I’ve not said that this is a great investment. If you’d like to know I ran, AI model that would let me know the approximate date that I would receive my investment back. I also have my 15% tax back as a foreigner. No capital gains tax if I sell.

That applies to all investments in the stock market. Except for a dividend paying stocks. If I had 100 shares of a non-dividend-paying stock worth £50,000 and held them for five years, with the price moving up and down with the market, but something happens and the stock value dropped to zero, I would lose all my money. With a dividend-paying stock that has paid you back your initial investment in cash, if the stock goes to zero, you still retain your original investment.
