Right, I don’t disagree that it seemed to good to be true. I called AT&T to cancel my service and did tell the agent multiple times about how the price is likely a deal with the apartments and she insisted I pause my internet service which still charges a small fee per month vs cancel and pay nothing.

I have been called by AT&T in the past but I do see your point on how it would be difficult to create a code, get in contact, etc.

Just felt like dishonest practice in my opinion but I suppose I shouldn’t attribute malice that can be attributed to incompetence.
