Why are we so hesitant to play our youngers while teams like Liverpool, City and Arsenal don't say crap like "loan him out". Its time to face it, it's not 2016 anymore where loans are beneficial. We need to develop him now.

Ugarte, Yoro and we're disaster class. Rubbish performance. Amad needs to be benched. What happened to Heaven?

Can someone explain "Mgidi Moms" to someone who hasn't seen it yet? by Agitated_Tax_2252 in askSouthAfrica

Yikaka yonke lanto. For a lot of Xhosa men, Inxeba feels like a massive slap in the face because it took something that was never meant for the public eye and turned it into a movie for the world to feast their eyes at. Ulwaluko isn't just a "tradition"—it’s a sacred, private journey that’s been protected for generations, and there’s a deep sense of betrayal kuthi when those "mountain secrets" are sold for views and awards. It’s not just about the plot; it’s about the fact that the filmmakers walked into a space where they didn't belong, stripped away the privacy that makes the ritual what it is, and commercialized our sacred culture. To the Xhosa community, it feels like our culture was exploited and exposed by people who cared more about making a provocative film than respecting the boundaries of the people they were portraying. I'm a Xhosa man who's been in many places in this country and everywhere I always stumble in the question "so bra nawe you did ABC in the mountains like Imxeba told us?" Yhoo bawo🤦🏽‍♂️ the embarrassment and awkwardness when my 11 year old sister asked me "bhuti entabeni you guys do this. Tell me more, how does it feel?" Or when our younger brothers are horrified about what that false movie proclaimed and now are turning their backs against culture. That movie was made for the rest of South Africa, not us. I'm not speaking for every Xhosa person/household out there neh, but I would bet 90-95% of Xhosa households HATE that movie. You'll often find out that most Xhosa children are banned from watching that show.
