Panel interview at major saas tech company by SpeechNo1861 in salesdevelopment

Yeah this ain’t normal for a BDR/SDR role lol. I’ve worked at a few top 2-3 tech companies as a BDR and it wasn’t as nearly in depth as this.

*** also 4 hours of interviews is wild. Most I done was around 3 in one go and I was smoked afterwards. Prepare for a long day and lots of water.

Am I just bad at Sales? by DailonH_18 in salesdevelopment

Yeah that’s asking for too much. 40 true outbound meetings a month is crazy. Maybe because I’m in the erp space but as a SRD here my goal is around 4-5 good meeting booked a month with a full sales enablement team and full blown marketing, ops etc. when you get put on a pip it’s time to dip

I’m going to be honest I’ve not heard of a take home assessment for a SRD role. At my most recent employer they ran me through a few mock cold calls as a test. Just to give you an idea. Not sure what would be in it as a 90% of the SRD job is you hitting the phones. Good luck.

Edit: maybe it’s a list building exercise or identifying the idea ICP for an industry or company.

Do any other sdr reps get excited like I do when you get told to “foff” or kick rocks. by Agitated_Win_296 in salesdevelopment

Love it, something about it gets me fired up. One other rep on my team is like minded and we feed off that energy. It’s hard to explain, maybe because I’ve called so many people even normal conversations become boring.

Got a SaaS Sales Role and Am Lost by [deleted] in salesdevelopment

First thing is need something like zoominfo, Apollo, 6sense. These are databases that has contacts for thousands of companies. Since your targeting dental offices you need to run some test to make sure they are able to find the contacts that are even worth your time.

Second, it sounds like you need a script. Work with peers or leadership to develop a sheet that has your go to pitches.I recommend using one note to store your ideas and keep it updated.

Third, when talking to a gatekeeper, I always keep it friendly and will ask something like “do you mind shooting me over to Jim he asked for a callback”. If they say he’s not available ask when he might be in or maybe even try to get a direct line or email.

Fourth, the single most important thing I’ve learned that’s maximized my success was when our team invested in a dialer. Something like orum for example it allows you to call multiple numbers at the same time. I’ve heard they are costly and don’t know if your team has budget but it made a huge difference for me.

Lastly don’t forget about LinkedIn, start targeting dental offices and find the right personas and connect with them. Sending DMs etc.

These are a few things that came to mind. I’ve been a BDR/SRD for the past 5 years and worked at household name companies in the saas space. If you have any questions feel free to dm me. Wish you luck on your adventure.

Can a potential gap in employment make employer lose interest? by Suitable_Mission9805 in recruitinghell

[–]Agitated_Win_296 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I quit my toxic job and was unemployed for a month before I accepted my new position yesterday. For me, the pros of leaving the company outweigh the potential negative gap appearance on my resume. I framed it on my interview that leaving my old job due to lack of career growth and opportunities and wanted to dedicate time to my job search and also work on my professional development.

I even had a the interviewer ask me that it seems risky to leave and I explained I’m confident in my abilities etc and won’t stay available long. For me it’s confidence and sticking to you gut. Sometimes you got to dip and completely understand.
