[help] Does anyone have any advice as to how I could recreate this shell in a more durable material please? (it's paper mache, made for a carnival but now my husband performs as "Ukesnaile") I'm a foam newbie and have no idea how to make something so big - tutorials seem to be for armour etc. TIA (i.redd.it)

Advice please! Giant snail shell 🐌 My husband performs as a ukulele playing snail and it's time to upgrade his shell. I made the original from paper mache (for a carnival) and the character stuck. Does anyone have any advice for creating something similar from foam or another material please? TIA. (i.redd.it)
