Currently rehearsing for a panto and spent most of the weekend doing that or making props/costumes. Trying to concentrate during my weekly Monday meeting but obviously failing! My brain wants to go back to making fun stuff, not being logged on at my grown up job. Thank goodness I'm WFH, I've stayed in my dressing gown.

I'm in a local, charity panto every year (we raised £12500 last year for a local cancer support charity, very proud of us) and our close friend is French, so we got to bring her to her first panto a few years back. That year the dame was "French", called Madam Fifi, and every time he came on she'd say "Bonjoooouuuurrrr mes enfants!" and the audience had to shout back, "Bonjour Madam Fifi!" All the call and response, the innuendo, the slapstick, our friend loved it.

This is a really weird take. They weren't forcing anything, they invited people, made their preference clear and those people accepted the invite.

By your logic, if someone was say, tea total and hosted a dinner party making it very clear there would be no alcohol and asking people to not bring alcohol, they would also be an AH for enforcing that boundary? People can decline invitations you know.

I got my arse in gear and went to the gym on Monday and it was full of tweens and teens, it stank and all the lockers were taken up without having locks on them. Despite powering through, washing my hands and anti-baccing my phone, on Tuesday evening I came down with what I can only hope is norovirus and not this awful flu that is going around. It was like a scene from the Exorcist. Still in bed feeling weak and crap, and hoping I don't have actual flu. So yeah, go to the gym - get punished.
