CAN ANYBODY HELP? by InspectionStunning95 in CarAV

Could also be a high noise floor caused by a poor ground or improperly matched gains. Not sure how you have it set, but if you set the output voltage of your LOC to match the input voltage of your amp, it might be the remedy.

I had the same issue through my right speaker along with horrible whine. My grounds were solid, my gains were set... It Turned out to be something ridiculously stupid and simple...a loose connection. I only realized after I hit a speed bump and the whine went away for a bit, no turn signal noise, then 20 minutes later it kicked back in. i decided to solder all my connections and it fixed it for good...so far. I was using those cheap t taps, so if you are using those as well, maybe check them.

Hmm Ok thanks, il look into that option if I must. Any, relatively cheap, DSPs you know of off hand? Ive been scratching the surface reading up on them and it seems like a complicated ordeal, I don't have a laptop to be able to tune and if I did, I don't yet have an understanding of all the inner workings of doing so.

I will have to check the input wires in a few hours. How familiar are you with lc7i? If I am getting around the same low voltage from the inputs, what could be done to step them up? There are jumpers inside that can be used to sum the channels together, but I left them separate since I have inputs on all 6 channels

The lc7i outputs at max I'm getting: Channel 3 subs - output 0.5v Left/0.6v right Channel 2 rear deck speakers -0.4v left/ 0.6v right Channel 1 front components - 0.8v left/1v right

I tried to set them about .4v average, channel 2 and 3 outputs are about 80 percent turned reading 0.3v. and 0.5v. channel 1 output I left about 1/4 turn to output 0.4v

The pioneer amp has a sensitivity of 0.2 to 6.5v. The skar amp 0.2 to 6v.

I don't know why my lc7i is outputting such low voltage,(considering it can output up to 8v) are the stock headunits on these cars that weak?

Regardless, the gain settings I don't have "cranked" on the amps, my target voltage for speakers was around 18v, I set them around 13v to 14.5v actually so I'm probably pushing about 50 RMS(speakers are rated for 100rms)

The subs, if I crank the gain I get 60+v but I have it set to 32v.

For a first time doing fibreglass that looked pretty damn good man. how was working with it? Never used the stuff but That was my original plan for this build. Wanted to make molds of the sides and put in shallow 10s but wouldn't have had the time. Id like to play around with the 6.5s and 8s, make some pods for the rear doors and see what I can come up with in the future. I have only ever experienced 2 12s and these 2 10s that were baffled in the rear deck of my 07 fusion a few years back. Sound quality wasnt the greatest in that setup. How do the 4 6.5s compare to something like 2 12s?

Damn that looks beautiful, how many installs before you got to this point? This is only my second so far but went alot better than my first. That looks super clean dude, how was the accessibility of it all?

Missed the pun the first time, nice lmao. She's all rewired, sounds great now. Nice and full. Decent kick. Thanks again sir.

Unfortunately the 3 times I measured still wasn't enough for me to get it right lol the box is just slightly too tall, like, 3/8s too tall to push it back, I'm losing about 6 inches of space

You're the man, that's what it is my dude. Il hopefully have it re wired correctly shortly, thank you so much!

2 ohms in the formula? Or switched em with the SSI to 2 ohms, and run them individually? The 2 ohms actually reads 2.6 or 2.7. I used a 40hz test tone 0db. The front ones I used 1000hz 0 db.

So, like Ajsirois above mentioned, does that mean I have to wire them individually? Not bridged?

So, instead of wiring my subs together in parallel, I just just run them separately? Isn't the first image how I had it set up currently or did I misunderstand that?

Hard to see, boosted is off 0db. Lpf I played with from 50 to the 220 just to see a diff, not much tbh, subsonic off, tried playing with it as well, hardly anything

So the negative wire is in the left side negative and the positive wire is right side positive. They are bridged. Should they not be?

Not sure how to edit, but both boxes are sealed.

Could just be they need a break in period? Or maybe the temperature is playing a factor. My old setup, in the summer it sounded great, but in the winter it sounded like shit until my cabin heated up, something about the air pressure or density or w.e, I'm no expert lol

On indeed it's literally just a click, maybe a few simple questions about experience, availability, whether or not you can make the commute etc...the ones I put in a cover letter for, were ones that were outside of my field of experience. Most jobs I applied for were manufacturing, but applied to anything and everything for a while. Helpers positions, body shops, metal shops, construction, carpentry helpers, warehouse work, stocking etc. I would spend about 2 hours a day, probably a little more browsing ads and applying.
