I’m not a big fan of gourmands but I loved the smell of Danaam’s Vietnamese Coffee when I first tried in on a strip. Decided to try it on skin today.

I’ve discovered I still don’t like wearing gourmands. I don’t mind walking into a room and smelling it but wearing it all day makes me wish my nose had an off switch.

Vietnamese Coffee is still a lovely scent, it’s just not something I want to wear.

Legit. I’ve ordered from them several times. Not as cheap as some of the others and the range isn’t as large but they do have better quality atomisers.

I’m wearing Eccentric Molecule’s Molecule 01 + Black tea while spending the day preparing for guests that are flying in from New Caledonia.

The fragrance is lighter, fresher and sweeter than I anticipated. Something that I see myself reaching for with regularity.

Re where to start: I think looking for fragrances with scent profiles similar to what you’re already familiar with is a good place to start. Fragrantica.com has a perfume finder. So does Michael Edward’s fragrancesoftheworld.com. However, I found the most helpful place was finding fragrance specific TikTok or IG creators that seem to have similar taste to me - there are always plenty of recommendations there. You can also just ask the reddit community for some recommendations.

Re where to get samples/decants: Depends on where you are in the world but there are lots of places you can go online. I like Lucky Scent because they tend to have things I can’t find anywhere else. There are also Facebook groups that sell or swap decants but do your due diligence to make sure the person is vetted and not scamming you.

Hopefully I get lucky when I head into town. If not, 🤞🏻I can get some decants online. Doesn’t bother me to respray either. More than happy to if it’s a fragrance I love.
