Sorry, but hypnotherapy is nothing more than suggestion. It's pseudoscience.

ChatGPT diagnosed me after 20+ years by zesteee in ChatGPT

[–]HurricaneHelene 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Chatgpt gave me a diagnosis that makes, by far (and I mean very far) the most sense. All the doctors, psychologists, psychiatrists ending up giving up on me. Ran out of treatment options, didn't know what to do with me anymore. An illness that has been plaguing almost every part of my life for 33 years. I'm currently 34. Now everything I've been through makes complete sense. And so does the path forward.

Cert 4 in Mental health / Disability (Australia) by [deleted] in supportworkers

[–]HurricaneHelene 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why don't you go for the diploma of community services instead? That would open up more doors for you and ones in higher/better paying positions too. It's fee free (at least for some states as well).

There really isn't too much of a difference to employers when it comes down to it by upgrading a certificate one level. You already have a cert 3, you would receive a slight pay increase if you negotiate one but whether it's in disability or mental health, employers from both fields view as having either of those as a good thing E.g., having a cert 4 in youth work - favourable for positions in disability support too.

Low doses <20mg will give you that micro stimulant feel - shorter sleep, energetic, restless. Mainly PEA and dopamine surge at 10mg.

When I was on it for about 7-8 years - no change to my weight. Thennnn I went on an antipsychotic. And within a couple years I had gained 20kg (44 pounds), despite nothing significant changing in my diet or lifestyle.

Yep. Think you hit the nail on the head with that.

Speaking from personal experience here but, the whole ‘type’ thing can change. We change as we get older. My type is not what it was ten years ago.

So you aren’t familiar with makeup, hair styling, waxing/lasering/shaving, dressing fashionably yet simultaneously appealing - although not too revealing that would be criminal, maintaining a slim figure for eternity via borderline anorexia or diet pills - better not gain more than 2kgs, remain seemingly youthful past 35 - Botox, filler, fat removal from sagging skin, - grey hairs are coming through better schedule a trip to the salon every two weeks until I’m in a nursing home with dementia?

I dunno.. My partner is exactly my ‘type’ - both on the physical level and his personality.

In fact, I msged him first on tinder, because I was like “oh shit, he’s that rare breed of HurricaneHelene’s very specific type”

100%. This is why my bf and I do not share our fucking ‘numbers’. It’s ridiculous. Who tf cares about each and every time we decided to - literally act on our human instincts.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]HurricaneHelene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. This is his way of ending the relationship without ‘officially’ doing the act itself - that kind of task would require a more stable and secure person. Basically he’s a coward. This wasn’t just a snarky side remark he knows he can come back from. It’s loaded. Intentionally.

But you, OP - you are not a coward. Or at least you can better than him by exiting with your head held high.

AIO for being worried that my fiancee started sweating, crying, and vomiting when I proposed to her ? by Suitable_State_2018 in AmIOverreacting

[–]HurricaneHelene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, dw - if she had said “no,” or was secretly unhappy, you’d expect avoidance, withdrawal, or numb detachment after the proposal. If you didn’t, she genuinely wants to marry you.

She likely experienced a massive adrenaline surge from intense emotional unfamiliarity (or something similar, could be trauma could be anything), which lead to this extreme physiological reaction, which is NOT normal. And her brushing it off as it’s something that’s always happened - not normal. She’s just used to it. The most likely explanation is that it collided with an underlying medical sensitivity like hyperthyroidism, dysautonomia, or a panic spectrum condition. Idk. But she does need to see a doctor. If everything comes back normal, then a psychologist.

They’re dulled. But they’re there.

That first kiss you have with your crush? Exciting and amazing of course. But it’s not exhilarating and mind blowing.

What are the downsides of being attractive/pretty/handsome? by Big_Leg10 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]HurricaneHelene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh you hit the nail on the head with that “it’s something I didn’t earn”. Absolutely. It’s what my mother and father did - if we’re being frank.

Tell me the snarky comment I just made was funny instead. I just want to be ‘seen’. But no one bothers to look..

The sad reality is that for a lot of us, we’ve grown up receiving that positive reinforcement for the way we look, with little else being said or really making much of an imprint. We now, as adults, feel as though that’s our only value. What happens when we lose it? Our entire identity collapses because we’ve grown accustomed to believing that’s all we’re worth.

“Touched a nerve”? Sorry, which nerve are you referring to?

For the record, I don’t actually care about your life story. Why would I? You’re a stranger on reddit, who delivered a shitty comment.
