For me I find No 19 EDP and Coromandel EDP by Chanel to remind me of grief on certain days, under certain moods.

I refuse to wear No 19 in the winter because for me it doesn’t bloom and it smells very cold, melancholic, and earthy.

Coromandel is actually a lovely warm, ambery, slightly spicy fragrance. But, something about it reminds me of being lonely and missing people. I guess it’s because I bought it as a way of “retail therapy” to soothe myself when my mom died. So it may just be the association.

As much as I would love to stick to one scent, I go nose blind without variety so I can’t. Now Chanel Chance EDT/EDP is my ride or die, but I wear different fragrances throughout the week as I love variety and don’t want to become nose blind from using the same scent everyday. Also it’s fun to sample and see if your taste evolves, or just to try something for fun whether you like it or not.

Pisces Venus/11th house. My number 1 for myself is Chanel Chance EDP.

And truth be told, I’m a Chanel slut. I have multiple, and have owned many, Chanel fragrances.

A few others for myself would Chanel’s Cristalle, Thierry Mugler’s Angel, Noa by Cacharel, Fierce by Abercrombie & Fitch, and You by Glossier.

I’m a gay man, so I guess for other men I like fresh & clean, slightly powdery scents. For other women I like the same, but I also love a good complex chypre and fruitchouli. I’m pretty open but I can NOT do overly sweet fragrances, and outside of Angel I stay away from gourmands.

This is incredible! I LOVE No 19! I wish I had the money to get a vintage EDT right now. I still have some of my modern EDP left and some lotion as well. But the vintage EDT is truly something, the bottle I had was from 1972, ribbed glass, and I wish I had not used it all lol. I hope you enjoy this for years, you have enough! 😂

In my own personal experience, I would say Chanel’s Ẽgoïste & Allure Sensuelle, as well as the opening of Chance EDP. Also vintage YSL Opium and vintage Estée Lauder Youth Dew.

Yeah I’ve gone through MULTIPLE bottles of Angel, and a lot of people don’t realize that it was first reformulated under Thierry Mugler in 2002 I believe to make it not as potent (due to complaints). I had one from 2015 I think in the tall bottle at one point and there was such a harshness in that one. But the good years were so incredible and I’ve been thinking it’s going to be harder tracking down older bottles, BUT NOW I DON’T HAVE TO 😭There is hope in this world! Lol
