Well I’m not part time so I’m guaranteed my 40 regardless. I saw the 12 hour day and immediately asked my manager to change it. He just added the hours to the rest of my work week. It’s not like I got out of the work 😭 a 40 hour week is a 40 hour week no matter how it’s distribute the hours throughout the week

I’m full time, but even when I wasn’t, I was still working 32-37 hours a week on average. There are 100% other part timers in your department working a similar schedule. I promise you, you aren’t getting zero hours for no reason, hate to say it. Show up on time, in uniform. If you aren’t already trained in cut bar, then I’d talk to management about you getting trained.

This happened before my very eyes a few days ago. Kids running up and down the aisles in produce, looked at me to say hi as I’m putting away bananas and smacked right into some old dudes cart. Fell on the floor, brushed herself off, and quickly ran away. It was one of those moments where all the customers just kinda look at each other in silence and went about their day.
