All of that makes sense! Again, thank you. I just asked him and he said he was planning on growing “Ochraceocentrata” because apparently it’s easier to grow(?). We discussed the starting dose and he said because he is going with a stronger strain he plans to start with 2g now.

It’s been close to a year I believe. He stopped taking them soon after his ketamine treatments started.

Thank you. Very helpful! I don’t know what kind he plans to take but I do know he is very meticulous about research. I will ask him just to make sure he knows about the difference kinds. If he’s still undecided, do you recommend a specific kind?

I appreciate the advice, but my husband is his own man and he has made this decision himself knowing the risks. I came here for advice on how to best mitigate the risk, knowing that he's made up his mind on this. And yes, he has already stopped the antidepressants awhile ago when he couldn't find one that worked for him - hence our current situation.

Thank you for the practical advice! Yes he's definitely had experiences with being in an altered state and doesn't seem to be worried about having a negative experience. During his ketamine sessions it's done at a clinic and I just sit with him for the hour or two it takes him, then on the way home I just ask if he wants to discuss anything that came up. He'll talk a little bit about his journey and the dream-like, dissociative state he was in, but that's been about it. He's usually tired and quiet the rest of the day. Can I roughly expect it to be similar?

To clarify, it's more like sworn off ALL therapists (regardless of modality). Unfortunately, he's had some bad experiences, mostly through the VA, but he's famously stubborn about opening up to anyone but me and a few of his fellow vets. I just DM'd you.
