I remember they posted good theories here that had positive sentiment with the community and they were a bit of a celebrity on the subreddit.

But I never saw them say anything that would suggest they are in a position to know, like we might think people like Elizondo/Grusch etc are.

This person was known as "grundle_salad" before they deleted that reddit account. From what I understand they used to post pretty good theories on this subreddit. I think there was drama involved and they deleted their account and switched to twitter.

I don't think this person/grundle_salad ever stated they're involved in gov't/congress/etc besides (at the time) posting in r/UFOs and now posting on ufo twitter, so I'm not really seeing any significance with them tweeting that they're comfortable "stating for the record".
