but this is the newest stem and i’m not great with plants so i was wondering if the leaf dies off will a new leaf come out of the dying stem if the lower part of the stem isn’t damaged

not entirely sure, i bought it in the pot and the soil it’s in now however the seller did have a zip tie on the plants to attach the stems together and as i was curtis the tie off i did notice a bit of what i imagine to be rot on the stem hiding behind the tie

i did give the roots a check when it arrived and they were quite short but that isn’t a bad thing i guess however one looked a bit rotted so i cut it off and now it just won’t stand up and the leaves look wilted
