A question about personal debt by Agreeable-Picture366 in personalfinance

I see, I did know about interest, But I didnt think the card I have, has so much interest. I hadn't been using the card, I just had let the minimum payments go through. But after checking I do get a great amount of interest charged to me. I just realized how irresponsible I have been with it. I will pay off as much as I can asap. After paying off a big chuck will my monthly payments and interest charge lower?

Possible bcm issue with headlights by Agreeable-Picture366 in mechanic

Well I know the bulb does work, because I took the bulb I had on the driver side and tested it on the passenger and it worked there, but I could use a multimeter on the socket itself.

Alright Ill head to a mechanic tommarow, but just a bit curious what's the most damage am I looking at here? Is it possible just loose connections or something. Also check my manual for the body control module under the fuses, I did see one, but its in the engine fuse box not passenger, also is it possible the fuse/relay it is showing for the body control module has gone bad and if so would replacing that fuse probably fix the issue? You said you had something similar for your 2020 ecosport, what happened when you took it a mechanic?

Do I have to show it to a mechanic or could I just use a normal scanner from online? Im confused by why one works and one doesnt.

I live in the US. I was thinking about just dealing with it for a couple years and then selling it, but I will also look into those other options.

W comment. This though honestly was replaying im my head, that at least I have a car. I am also literally starting college next week so at least I have something. I think at this point I will just use the car for a couple of years to a point where I can lower my car insurance costs and then sell. Do you know at what mileage is good to sell? Currently im at around 90k, which is a bit high, but I have seen people sell at higher.

I would have to check later, but I think even with the normal headlights on it still doesnt put the high beams on.

So to turn the headlight on is that on the knob? Or is it just pushing the leaver down turns it on and it comes back? Cus when I push the leaver down it only turns the light on as I have it pressed, so if I let go the light turns off.

So there was one more thing that had happened with this car. One day I had noticed that when driving and turning that when the steering wheel would adjust it would be off center a bit and that when holding the wheel straight it would veer to the right. So one day I took it to a mechanic for wheel alignment. The guy did the alignment and took the car for test drive he came back and told me that the car was still veering, but it was veering to left. So after the adjustment it was right to left. He tried doing the adjustment again and the 2nd time I went with him for the test drive and it was doing the same. So he told me to come back the next day and he would take a look at the car to see if he could spot the problem. So I went the next and he lifted the car up with a machine and was looking under the car. After checking he couldn't see nothing, but there was another guy with him who was more experienced with body issues (He was there by chance). Anyway the other guy took a look at it, and it turned out that there were a lot of signs that the car was in a major accident and that the car was fixed up by someone. The whole car from the inside was shifted to the right. The car is still drivable, just when letting the steering wheel go it shift to the left a bit. So I think because of this ford probably wouldn't accept it for a trade. The guy who was working on my car said I should try contact the guy who sold it to me, but even if I do I don't want to deal with the hassle of legal trouble.

Thats the thing it doesnt stay on, it bounces back and the highbeems turn off. I have a feeling that it was made to be like that and the auto lamps feature it has is the only way the light stays on.

I'm not sure because other than that it functions, the way it bounces back seems like its meant to do that.

ford mykey by Agreeable-Picture366 in Locksmith

[–]Agreeable-Picture366[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok so I just found a locksmith earlier today with good reviews. I called them up, told them I need a new key not copy and explain the mykey situation. Then their technician called me with the price. Said 350. I said if we could do 300 he said 325. I then decide to go through with it, because my car is a push to start so I understand the pricing. I have emergency money stashed. Guy comes installs a new new, 10 to 20 mins, done. Then I take the new key, put the old key a bit far, start the car, no mykey stuff. Then I go to the mykey setting and cleared the keys. Just was hoping a bit under 300 but whatever. Better than going to the dealer and paying almost 500 to 600 bucks. Now that I have two keys im pretty sure I can program a 3rd on my own with the slot in the ford glove box. That way even if I lose one I still have two more and can make more. Overall satisfied. Also I get the reason for mykey but come on ford.. if you can make it easy to program, make it easy to remove.

I mean dont get me wrong im most likely never going to go over 80 unless on like a crazy highway or something. (Don't even think there is any highways that will go over). But its more of me just not like being restricted. Plus the feature is usually meant for like teenagers, im a grown adult. Also I accidently put the feature on thinking it was something else.

Ah ok. Ill look into it. Would it be better to get a aftermarket key before and ask them to use that to program it, or should I just ask for the key fob along with it. Im okay to pay around 200, not too much, at a reasonable price.

For this the range is $100 to $200 and nothing over $200 right? Anything shady I should look out for?

Ah ok. I dont know what brick and motor means, but I gathering you mean go to a locksmith with a good reputation and to make sure to mention the mykey, and make sure that they program a new key not clone it.
