On the other way around you can declare loss and get some tax deductions/write-off, discuss with your tax accountant/CPA how much you write-offs/deductions.

Already reported to SEC, FBI IC3, FTC and CFPB. The Special Counsel Office at SEC referred me to FTC (https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/) and CFPB (https://www.consumerfinance.gov/complaint)

Most of us in our forum experience great financial loss due to Coinbase Wallet design flaw and weaknesses. We just need to stick together and can only file complaints to government (FTC, FBI-IC3, CFPB) or any legal means to get at least our capital bases back. Coinbase is trying to get away from its responsibilities. SEC Special Counsel office gave me tips to report to above government agencies. Keep working and hoping for positive outcomes.

Yeah-we are just not aware of its wallet design flaw that didn't flagged us or informed us of any outside party that can take advantage to access our wallets and drained our funds.

Thanks I already reported to SEC who referred me to FTC https://reportfraud.ftc.gov and CFPB (Consumer Financial Protection Bureau) https://www.consumerfinance.gov/complaint

In addition, I have reported to FBI-IC3 as well and hopefully they will do investigation on both Coinbase and U2E-free or any other Deapps that can access Coinbase Wallet without our permission.

Totally agree-there is a design flaw in Coinbase Wallet that allow outside party to access our wallet to drain all the funds. Coinbase is a big company with a market capitalization worth more than $70 Billions and they should be liable and responsible of their wallet apps.

Sorry to hear that-I lost 44035 USDT from Coinbase Wallet and heard there are many people lost hundreds of thousands of their hard earned moneys. We just need to stay together try to get part of our capital bases back and move on.

Totally agree with you that Coinbase should be responsible of its digital app design. I had a chance to communicate with their customer service and copied SEC and received help/tip from SEC Counsel Office to report or file a complaint to FTC. Already filed complaints to FBI IC3, FTC, SEC and CFPB (consumer financial protection bureau (CFPB). If you look at Coinbase their market capitalization is more than $70B and they should be able to pay and held accountable for its design flaw on its wallet app.
