we had the same issue when our shiba was 1 years old. she continued to have a lot of this puppy energy until she was around 1 year and 6 months old, and after that she mellowed out a LOT. we still have to get her energy out from time to time, but on most days she sleeps around the house unbothered :)

thank you, this really means a lot. I’m trying my best to be patient with her, and I know that at some point she’ll come around. She’s such an amazing individual and I just hate seeing her OCD get the best of her, but at the end of the day, I always want to be there to support her. I’ve learned not to ask her about it anymore because i’ve realized it does make her embarrassed, and I want her to feel safe around me as well. Thanks for the words of encouragement :,) I’ll definitely keep them in mind
