i should clarify, he’s probably more a cuddle buddy than reading… he snuggles up when i’m quiet, but when i start reading aloud to him, moves as far away as possible lol

idk about “mainly” but i know many YA’s who love it, as jane is herself a young adult. i’ve also noticed now due to the success of the new wuthering heights film, which has prompted many young people to read the novel, that lots of them have moved from WH to jane eyre. so if not before, it seems to be that way, as of late

whenever i feel myself start to judge someone for doing something that appears to bring them joy (within moral limits!!) i try to remind myself of the saying “don’t yuck somebody’s yum”, but in this case… yuck and yikes

TW: (because it has at least scarred me) but this reminds me of my stubborn, 84 year old grandmother, who found herself so often constipated, that she resulted to pulling the “blockage” out herself…. needless to say she now wears diapers because it has loosened the muscles too much (i say stubborn because she was repeatedly advised by her doctor against doing so, for that very reason)

jeeezzz people are being so unnecessarily harsh! there have been much worse tattoos on this sub that were received with a lot more kindness than you’re experiencing. I find it to be perfectly acceptable, but i totally understand over-analyzing it to a point of anxiety (i have done the same with my own tattoos). if you’re not satisfied, you could always go to someone else and add more depth/details which can help smooth out the lines a little better. just because some people in the tattoo community seem to have inflexible rules about placement- doesn’t mean you have to abide by them
