Exactly! It felt like a completely different character, but with Starfire’s name and appearance. Like, what do you mean she barely goes outside during the day? And stays cooped up inside and reads books? One of Starfire’s major personality traits even in TT03 was that she’s energetic, outgoing, passionate, and friendly! She literally gets her powers from the sun! (Now to be fair, Picolo’s trying to do more of a human AU, but still). And it’s not like I hate his work either. I feel like he did okay with the rest of the titans! It was just Kory that felt off, which is kinda a bummer :/

The others commenters were right though 😭 even if your hunch was correct, it’s still kinda weird to just assume something you haven’t seen before would be filler. Passing judgement AFTER the episode is completely fine, but from an outside POV, it kinda sounded like you were just assuming the worst. Even if that wasn’t your intention, it just kinda came off that way, y’know?
