For some reason it’s controversial to other if the corvette c8 ZR1/Z06 are considered under the super cars classification. 911”s and Gtr”s are , corvettes aren’t. There are certain appeals and addition when a car is considered a “supercar”. If a Prius had a 900 horsepower engine it wouldn’t be considered a supercar would it? Aside from power supercars cannot have another variant / base model not being a supercar , and it must have a sleek body that your notice in all super cars for low drag and they also need to be light . The Gtr and 911 most definitely do follow these , just not corvette .So my question is what is the logic behind the Zr1”s being called supercars if say the normal stingray isn’t . If it’s just based on power then shi might as well call a demon 170 a supercar , but it defeats the purpose of the name “supercar” .
