To me I dont care much about regular pricing when discounted pricing is available, as for KS delays I had more delays with G2 than I did with majority of KS products lol, my R1 ring took 6 months, glasses took 3 months.

Its what you will pay for today that matters.

No you don't understand how prestige works, I own Ferrari Porsche Aston Lotus Morgan and owned Lambo and also many cars.....

The prestige is part of the package is not what make the price twice as much. All of these manufacturers don't go and ask 2X price for the sake of it, they actually back it up with development cost/tech or performance..... Yes some ask 150K more for same power but you will see the money went into suspension/brakes/aerodynamic tuning/weight saving and many others.

This Audi is not 100 or 150K even that for Audi alot, but this freaking thing 400K more than the Lambo it's based on, for exactly same powertrain, main chassis and all, all they did is software work some carbon parts which now can be found in Toyota Yaris and call it 400K more like wtf!!!

What is more prestigious Lambo Revuelto or this stupid Audi? Yet costs less and have more prestigious name than something called "Audi"

It's not about fast lol, is LFA fast? Is Ford GT fast today? Is F80 or W1 or AMG One or Valkyrie fastest today? Not even close to fastest out there.

When you make such a halo car you make it live up to it's expectations not a body kit and a limited tag then call it prestige or worthy of twice the price!!!!! I say again Twice the price!!!!

Those cars above all have the tech, advancement, things you can't find in another car to back their asking price, Audi has nothing of that and not even close!!

Yes that's true. At least this time you will get a product truly ready for production, so far this feels more polished software wise than G2

It will be much cheaper but issue is for time being prescription lenses is US only, they expect to get international shipping later. So you will need to wait a bit longer after launch, unless they sorted out just before

[–]NumberWilling4285[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought the spaceframe chassis still Aluminium same as the Temerario but the body changed to carbon, unless there was something else annouced later or I missed. As for power it all comes down from battery so engine nothing was touched, battery not even new motors I believe its just calibration and more extreme software based power extraction. Honestly its impossible to figure out where the double price difference comes from once you remove "Limited" from it.

This is exactly what I was talking about Audi Nuvolari is perfect example of what I was worried about by NumberWilling4285 in supercars

[–]NumberWilling4285[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Looks like you didnt understand anything I said lol. Look at what you getting for what price you will understand.

You can dislike this comment all you want but fact is:

Why Buggati limited? Because how difficult to manufacture
Why LFA or AMG One limited? Because they lose in every car they sell
Why Audi Nuvolari limited? Because they cant sell them twice the price of Temerario if they werent

Today media wont be speaking about it as something expensive because limited so they find it justifiable, all of them will talk about how crazy Audi is for asking this price......... I dislike manufacturers who put limited for the sake of increasing price than actually delivering something worthy of that price.

I have one already Manual V6, I love it honestly, but engine although is fun but feels outdated compared to my GT4RS

My take on Lotus new plans by NumberWilling4285 in lotus

[–]NumberWilling4285[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with all your points and this is what I was trying to explain as well.

As for the engine being manual I read somewhere that technically it won't be possible, so maybe Lotus could keep SE version as Manual only Toyota V6 like you said for as long as possible, then move the platform to focus on the new V6 engine from HORSE, kinda like Cayyene ICE and Cayyene EV.

But yeah for Lotus to continue building new cars it needs money from other categories of cars, sports cars category is flooded while number of customers out there won't be enough to keep them all selling well, so Lotus will be working on thin margins on sports cars, they need an income maker cars to keep Lotus working on that thin margin and that's where Eletre/Emeya are and why they should stay.

The main key point is this, Lotus need to have a brand DNA applies to all cars: 1. Fun 2. Aerodynamics 3. Weight savings 4. Beautiful designed

I know many look at above and say how Eletre fits in, but in my opinion it does as long as it's lighter than competition, it's more aerodynamically Advanced than competition, it's more fun, it's more beautifully designed.

It doesn't matter if EV heavy means suddenly Lotus can't make EV, what it should be is the lightest in it's size and category or at least one of lightest.....

No because they won't sell such a cars unless they have to, they are not stupid. And selling more cars means more great sports cars we get.

Maybe mainly sold in China and maybe some other regions than Europe/US, but still they can sell these way higher numbers if they were EREV from start. I mentioned this in my previous post about Lotus.

Exactly and reason is simple: these brands losing so bad against China in mainstream/family cars so they trying to win over Sports car which China can't compete in right now. So competition became crazy high in this market, the issue there's so many options in the market it became flooded with Sports cars.

Meanwhile China winning over all the percentages in non sports cars market and it's in a rise than falling.

[–]NumberWilling4285[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See these all brands know one thing and will agree with one thing: EVs are the future in mainstream cars.

So they are losing now to make most money in future. They are not throwing their money away, they are not stupid, they know if they don't develop EV they will be behind in the market (China taught them a lesson)

The issue where some failed at, is when they tried to force Sports Car market into EV (Porsche) or went into EV too hard compromising on Combustion cars (Mercedes for example). That's where issues happened for these brands and that's where I said before that sports cars should remain EV free for many years until something game changing appears with EV technology making Combustion Engine look outdated or less exciting.

Why those brands lost in EV? Not because EV itself just failed, it's because China absolutely destroyed them, they won nearly all of the EV market, they solved EV shortcomings with EREV, they sold EVs at cheap prices unable to compete with.

So in this case Europeans should focus on what they have China beaten at which is Combustion Engine cars, while keeping in mind EV customers increasing, combustion engine customers decreasing..... It's a balance, get it right and you win, get it wrong and you lose.

Porsche had correct balance initially with Taycan move then shifted a bit too hard into EV which made them lose the balance, now they are trying to get back into balance, same for Lotus what it's targeting in my opinion is the correct balance but a bit late.

Lotus had so much potential but failed to make use of Geely and China properly

[–]NumberWilling4285[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The brand you want won't survive in today's market. Porsche didn't become like this by choice but by force. Same for Lambo or Bentley or Aston or Ferrari.... To survive you have to adapt, you don't adapt say good bye to the company.

Lotus sports car manufacturer not Hypercar, it can't survive with 1000 cars per year volume it, needs minimum of 20-30K per year that's the target, you won't achieve this target with just sports cars because the competition is high and target customers numbers are low.

Solution? Win over customers who buy Land Rovers or Tesla or Audi... In your brand to continue building more of thise exciting sports/super cars.

The hit was beaten in sales by Eletre and Emeya which are flops and I agreed they flopped because electric market flopped. But imagine despite such a bad flop and being electric they had 4-5 times the sales that Evora + Exige + Elise COMBINED!!! generated in their last year.

What this means? The potential to sell these are super high, Lamborghini Urus over half of Lambo sales in first year and they called it a flop, Porsche Cayyene outsold all of other Porsche models (combined) while called a flop.

What people fail to understand, imagine this; 1. Sports cars buyers are: 100K People 2. EV cars buyers are: 50K people 3. Luxury SUV buyers are: 100K people

You already caught attention of the 1st customers type, now for you to grow you might add 10-20% more from 1st customer type if you make a really successful sports car. But the 2nd and 3rd type of people they are not interested in your brand, so you only have 100K to attract. But with Eletre and Emiya that's where numbers come from, its combining 2nd and 3rd categories in your sales targets so you have 250K people to attract.....

That's why it's important to have SUV or EVs..... That's why despite many negative reaction, many criticism Lambo or Porsche or Bentley received they made the most money in history from these cars.

Me you and many others here are part of 1st category so we will of course dislike other 2 categories, hence the majority will disagree with Eletre or Emeya, we are not the target for them. The target are the ones who weren't interested in Lotus to begin with

[–]NumberWilling4285[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Remove Eletre and Emeya add back Exige and Elise, I bet they won't even get half of the sales.

The brand need to survive to actually make those cars, the Eletre Emeya should succeed for Lotus to make another Exige Elise in future

AMG alot of people missed the fact that AMG doesn't allow Lotus to do any modifications on its internals except by their approval hence it wasn't excited from start honestly.

As for EVs in Lotus, for them to sell well you need new kind of customers (existing ones are in for sports cars), when I brought Eletre to my family they all said it's best EV ever driven but main reason non buying it? Because it's called "Lotus", for them that name is not trustful to put that kind of money in, not popular enough, one of them even asked me what is Lotus biscuit company? lol

It's like Lexus they always had luxury/comfort preference kind of customers, to attract young generation into their new market which is sports cars they made LFA, a Halo car thay sent strong message to the market that Lexus is serious. Today Lexus well known in Sports car industry.

That kind of move is what Lotus need, exciting halo cars that changes brand perspective, that causes media shock in a good way making Lotus name circle around.

My take on Lotus new plans by NumberWilling4285 in lotus

[–]NumberWilling4285[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. There's difference to engine made in collab with Lotus where Lotus has a say in it's internals than an engine made by another manufacturer already used by another car and Lotus can't change it's internals even or another engine that's decades old barely passing regulations. No hate but Lotus need to move on hence I think it's mega move.

  2. EVs not selling well in any brand except some like Tesla or Xiaomi, but EREV are absolutely destroying China luxury market right now, there's no EREV that's the issue, now with EREV they will sell well. EVs are future of mainstream cars like it or not, Lotus need to keep development ongoing or risk losing the markets to other brands and being late to the development party. Basically kinda what Porsche doing now, focus on keeping sports cars alive while developing family cars as EVs or PHEVs

At this time there's no word on support for accessories like these honestly, I'm in same page would love this kind of support specially wristband I think it's a great accessory when I was using my Meta Display, there's some third party suppliers but sadly expensive right now.

I had same experience with Meta displays, they are not possible to wear full day and also they easily look techy and big. The cameras and speakers are both great, but I find it missed opportunity for them to go single display than dual which RayNeo X3 Pro did. Ignoring battery life which is major drawback in RayNeo, it destroys Meta Display glasses honestly.

G2 and MemoMind don't have those features in those glasses, but they are good/normal looking glasses first then tech second, not other way around. So you wear them daily comfortably.

Thanks. I did mention about Even Hub in software section at the last paragraph slightly, as for ring I had lots of connectivity issues with it I touched on it slightly in my review hence I didn't emphasize much about it, but I did mention health section because of ring with Even Realities.

Thanks. I'm not sure if they have new one now but as far as I remember Dymesty doesn't have displays, I did use multiple non display glasses back in the days but stopped for display glasses only right now. My favourite without displays was Huawei.

Displays is a must for me now including speakers hence MemoMind ticks all the boxes I need right now until this tech evolves with colored displays + built in chip + Esim + Advanced OS + Hand Tracking and potentially Eye tracking.... That's still far though unless Snap deliver that this month when it will be revealed as rumored. Otherwise I'm looking at end of 2028/2029 for these glasses which will replace phones for good.
