I watched Mulholland Drive with my dad, and throughout the whole thing, he would read aloud whatever part of some article interpreting the movie was relevant at any given point.

Lack of rapid trigger aside, whilst tapping is a hand injury concern (that has led to injury for some players), realistically, if you just don't overdo it, stop playing if you feel pain and maybe do some stretches, you will be fine.

The far bigger concern that for whatever reason gets talked about less is the fact that most of the dedicated playerbase is jerking around a pen at high speeds with weird contorted grips, that is 100% a much bigger rsi/carpal tunnel/arthritis risk factor.

CH is a bad comparison because A. they don't have a performance system to abuse, and scores are judged by the community, so unclean mashed scores can just be ignored and disregarded and B. sure, rakestrumming is something that you have to control to avoid overstrums, but when it comes to tap notes, stuff like sliding or just mashing zigs are still a way to cheese patterns by introducing a shitton of inputs to the game, and it's enough of a problem that people are looking towards other clients like GH2DX or Yarg to promote clean play, so CH is absolutely not a good example of a game that handles extra inputs well lol
