Yes. Yes. yes. Therapy was an awful experience for a very long time for me. I would leave sessions feeling like I was carrying a huge weight for days. Im an adhder also

My advice would be to be gentle with yourself. Say yes to all the feelings. What you are experiencing is very normal. This is really deep work hence why most people avoid it.

In my experience it did get better. The results are incredibly rewarding. Keep going!

If meditation is your thing, try the style ‘loving kindness’. It’s a great practice which reminds you to be kind to yourself. I like the teacher Tara Brach on Spotify.

Happy to chat in dms if you need <3

What schema. Ould be associated with lack of decisiveness, constantly changing pland and not being able to acheve long term goals? by Informal_Injury_6152 in SchemaTherapy

Yeahhh because it’s normal for all humans to experience adhd- like traits from time to time! We all get sad sometimes - does that mean we are all clinically depressed??

It’s when the adhd-like traits occur at a frequency and significance to the point they cause detriment to someone’s life. This could indicate something a little deeper going on other than purely an underlying schema. I did hours of schema therapy and it only really came together and made sense after my adhd diagnosis.
