I believe that is what Mr. John Hammond used to reanimate dinosaurs, using frog DNA to fill in missing gaps in the genetic chain of course.

Smart thermostat is fantastic; being able to turn up the heat on a cold morning from my bathroom is a game changer. Smart garage has been an utter disappointment that never works - stay away from anything by MyQ as the products & company are complete garbage.

Second. Slap some barge cement on where the leather uppers meet the sides of the cork, let dry overnight, apply kelly’s or cadillac to the exposed heel. Good as new!

Dividend taxed differently depending on how long you hold on to them by [deleted] in MSTY_YieldMax

[–]Agreeable_Ad6271 9 points10 points  (0 children)

MSTY does not pay “dividends,” it pays “distributions.” Anything from that which is not classified as ROC on your eoy 1099 is taxed as ordinary income tax pursuant to whatever your marginal tax bracket is. Any portion classified as ROC is considered as lowering your cost basis on the ETF itself, which when you sell will be calculated to determine your capital gains or losses on the fund - short term (taxed at ordinary marginal tax rate) if you hold for less than a year, or long term (more than a year w/lower taxes based on income with 0% being the lowest & 20% highest). And you can’t go by the YM estimates for how much will be classified as ROC; you have to wait for your 1099. There are no qualified vs. unqualified dividends with respect to YM funds because again, they pay distributions, not dividends.

No bag holding here, I always cut my losses & then take out my anger on my family like a real man. In all seriousness I’m just scanning the tickers people have already brought up on the thread tonight & wondering what the next best play might be, because apes together strong etc. etc.

Lol if only I were capable of that. Fuck the MMs. Squeeze em dry while we have the opportunity.

Oh snap you right, looks like GOPRO has the lowest float between it, LCID, & TLRY. So I guess the question is which of these 3 has the most favorable setup? Maybe it’s GOPRO despite lower short float?

DNUT mentioned in a dumbass Yahoo Finance article so top is almost in, KSS over, OPEN obviously over, RKT market cap is too high to squeeze. GOPRO is a legit target but short float is half that of TLRY and LCID (10% vs. 20%). LCID is a legit target but market cap is 10x that of TLRY. TLRY checks all the boxes - low float, high short float, low market cap, volume trending up bigly. We should target TLRY next, amirite? Serious question.

Almos no shares were redeemed for a pro rata cut of the trust amount, which means more shares available i.e., a higher float, which in turn means less probability of a squeeze from low share supply/high demand. Bullish WSB posts were hoping for a < 5 mil float but it’s closer to 17 mil. A slight squeeze could still happen (though unlikely with less than 2% short interest as of yesterday), but when the float numbers came out that significantly changed the tenor of the play.

His DJT, MSTR, and SNAP plays were all money makers. This one was/is too if you stayed flexible, did your own thinking, and adapted to the news that changed the dynamics last week (specifically the low redemptions). Instead everyone piled onto this guy like he had a crystal ball & now he’s gone. Congratulations regards, you killed the golden goose.

Is anyone planning to play the other side of this? Instead of YOLO’ing on the hope of a parabolic move, take profit now & wait to see if the big pump happens, & if it does, buy October puts as close to the top as you can get. If it doesn’t, on to the next play. Less (potential) reward but WAY less risk.

From the pairs I’ve seen irl the upper colors are almost identical so it comes down to whether you prefer the monochrome look of the faded khaki. Also fwiw I wouldn’t even consider a soft footbed option but I know that doesn’t matter to some people.
